Dallas Wings select Aaronette Vonleh in third round of WNBA Draft
WACO, Texas (FOX 44) — One of Baylor Women's Basketball's brightest stars from a season ago won't have to travel too far for her next stop at the next level!
The Dallas Wings took Baylor center Aaronette Vonleh with the sixth pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night.
Vonleh played one season at Baylor after transferring from Colorado and instantly became one of the Bears go-to options on offense, dominating opposing competition and developing into one of the nation's most prolific post scorers in the 2024-25 season.
Vonleh averaged 12.4 points per game at Baylor but stepped up her play to close the Bears' campaign, turning in double figures in nine-straight games including a 37-point performance in an overtime win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Tournament Semifinal.
Vonleh becomes the 25th Baylor Bear to get drafted into the WNBA and joins up with former Bears NaLyssa Smith and Dijonai Carrington out in Dallas.
