Buxar tops public service delivery ranking for 8th time in a row
Buxar: Buxar district has secured the top spot in Bihar's public service delivery ranking for the eighth consecutive time.
According to the latest rankings released by the
Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society
in March 2025, Buxar achieved 89.992 marks out of 100. Bhagalpur got second place and Jehanabad third.
This ranking is based on parameters such as service delivery within the time limit, execution of filed appeals, recovery of imposed penalty amounts, and inspection of public service centres.
"We are committed to providing timely services to the common people. A review meeting with govt officials is held every month to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of public services, said Buxar DM Anshul Aggrawal on Tuesday. He said that clear instructions has been given that delay or negligence in services would not be acceptable under any circumstances.

"In case of violation of the time limit, punitive action will be taken against the public servants concerned. This achievement is proof of the dedication of the district administration in delivering service to common people," said the DM.
Nodal officer, Public Service Rights-cum-ADM (departmental investigation), Girijesh Kumar, said the district is continuously striving to ensure excellence in delivery of public services. He said a cell has been created at the district level, and its monitoring is done continuously.
The
Bihar Right to Public Services Act
was implemented on Aug 15, 2011, where it has been made mandatory for the state govt and its agencies to provide public services to the people within the stipulated time limit, failing which govt officials are liable for punishment.
The DM honoured the officers and employees by giving them certificates for their excellent work in securing the first position in the state-level ranking.
