Ayush hospitals to come up in 7 districts: Health minister

on Monday said that 50-bed
Ayush hospitals
would soon be constructed in seven districts of the state and Rs 834 crore has already been approved for the work.

"The 50-bed
integrated Ayush hospitals
will be opened in seven districts, including Gopalganj, Siwan, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Gaya and Motihari in the financial year 2025-26. The

will also begin pathology test at all the Ayush Arogya Mandirs already functional at various locations across the state that would further boost the functioning of the alternative medicine system in the state," said Pandey, while speaking at the inauguration of a four-day training workshop organised by Bihar Ayush Society here on Monday.
The minister said the department was focusing on filling all the vacant posts and advertisement for over 35,000 posts was published recently and the appointment formalities would also be completed in the next three to four months. "We will also be strengthening our Ayush system as well and all the related vacant academic posts will be filled soon and requisition for the same has already been sent to Bihar Public Service Commission," said the minister.
The minister said the training workshop would enhance knowledge of the Ayush doctors and help them become more efficient in their skill that they can apply while taking care of their patients.
Dr Aditya Prakash, additional secretary-cum-executive director of Bihar Ayush Society, said in order to ensure that all the required facilities and services were available at the Ayush Arogya Mandirs, run under the said medicine system, the associated doctors were being given training as per the guidelines of the Ayush Mission to keep them abreast with the required knowledge for benefit of the patients.
