Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Red Bluff
A traffic stop on S. Main Street in Red Bluff on Friday, May 2 ended with a man behind bars on drug-related charges.
According to the Red Bluff Police Department, an officer made the stop on a vehicle driven by Billie Polley, 40, of Gerber around 3:40 p.m., at Starbucks reportedly because Polley was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant and was driving without a license.
Polley was detained on the warrant, while a second Red Bluff police officer arrived and allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
As police continued to search the vehicle they reportedly located six 9mm pistol rounds, 56 grams of packaged marijuana, a scale, and 46.2 grams of methamphetamine concealed inside an improvised Arizona Tea aluminum can.
Polley was placed under arrest on the warrant, and suspicion of transporting and possessing a controlled substance for sales, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and felony possession of a controlled substance with prior convictions. He was booked into the Tehama County Jail.
