Black Bears to wear B.C. Icemen throwbacks for Hall of Fame Night
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Black Bears have once again partnered with the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame and will be wearing throwback jerseys that were unveiled by the team on Tuesday.
The Black Bears will be wearing B.C. Icemen throwback jerseys. Last season, they honored the Binghamton Whalers. The Icemen were a team in the United Hockey League for five seasons, winning back-to-back divisional titles between 1998 and 2000.
The Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame is honoring two inductees with ties to the Icemen. Dieter Kochan was a goalie for the team, and the late Johnny Hart designed the original logo.
Binghamton will wear the jerseys when they host the Danbury Hat Tricks on April 11th, as part of the team's regular-season wrap-up.
