Huge Asian food festival will make its Twin Cities debut this summer
A festival that purports to be one of the country's biggest traveling outdoor Asian food festivals is heading to the Mall of America.
The Twin Cities debut of Panda Fest will arrive in the mall's north lot from July 11–13.
Tickets for the event that celebrates a spectrum of Asian food and culture go on sale on March 12 at 10 a.m.
The MOA's announcement encourages early ticket purchases (why wouldn't it?) because Panda Fest has sold out at other locations "and organizers anticipate a similar response" in Minnesota.
'This festival not only highlights the incredible flavors of Asian cuisine but also celebrates the beauty and diversity of Asian culture – something that we anticipate will resonate with the Twin Cities community," Jill Renslow, Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer for the Mall of America, says.
The festival touts more than 100 food vendors, a marketplace, live performances, and a 15-foot inflatable panda at each of its 12 stops around the country, including its date in Bloomington.
'This is more than a food festival – it's a celebration of culture, community, and connection. We're thrilled to bring this experience to the Twin Cities and share the flavors, traditions, and artistry of Asian culture with a new audience," BiuBiu Xu, founder and organizer of Panda Fest, says in a statement.
Early bird tickets cost $10 through March 30 and are $14 afterward.
