Traffic delays expected as MoDOT begins work on Table Rock Lake bridges
MISSOURI — MoDOT is asking drivers in Stone County to give themselves extra time for their commute. Starting Monday morning, crews will begin a washing project on two bridges over Table Rock Lake. That's Highway 13 south of Kimberling City and Highway 39 north of Shell Knob. Lanes will close as needed, and flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Carthage Chamber of Commerce to host annual expo
CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Carthage Chamber Biz Expo from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Memorial Hall, 407 S. Garrison Ave. Admission is free. Chamber President Julie Reams said the event will feature 'a full day of networking, prizes and opportunities to connect with local businesses.' 'This is one of our favorite events to bring to the community,' Reams said in a written release. 'We have an incredible variety of local businesses featured, offering something for everyone to enjoy. With this year's board game theme, attendees will have the chance to participate in fun games throughout the event and win exciting prizes from our vendors.' Reams said a variety of businesses, including home improvement, banking and health care, will be on display at the expo. 'Dozens of local businesses will be on site, ready to showcase their services and products,' the chamber said in a statement. 'Whether you're looking to shop local, explore new services or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere, the Biz Expo has something for you.' Reams said one of the evening's highlights will be a scavenger hunt sponsored by American Media. Attendees can collect stamps at participating booths for a chance to win prizes.
