Texas A&M receives interesting postseason projection before facing No.1 Texas this weekend

Texas A&M receives interesting postseason projection before facing No.1 Texas this weekend Texas A&M (24-16, 8-10) has continued to dominate during midweek games, defeating Sam Houston 13-3 for the second time this season, which included first baseman Blake Binderup hitting two more home runs for five total in the last two weeks, while freshman outfielder Terrence Kiel II hit his first career home run of his Aggie career. With 15 hits and four home runs on the night, Texas A&M has now scored double-digit runs in six of its last ten games, and at least eight runs in nine games. The offense is humming, and the Aggies are now receiving postseason projections for the first time this season, before taking on No. 1 Texas in a three-game road series this weekend. According to D1Baseball's latest postseason projections, Texas A&M is now predicted as the two seed in the Fort Worth Regional, which, for Aggie fans who remember that long and drawn-out matchups with the Horned Frogs against, yes, former Texas A&M and current Texas head coach Jim Schlossnagle years ago. If the Aggies were to get out of the Fort Worth Regional, a chance to face the Texas Longhorns would be the next challenge. However, any projection compared to where this team was a month ago is solid, and if the wins keep coming, Texas A&M could still host a regional, which is a long shot, but not impossible. Texas A&M will head to Austin, Texas, to face No. 1 Texas starting Friday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. CT. The game will air on the SEC Network. Texas A&M defeats Sam Houston 13-3 behind another productive day at the plate

Texas A&M defeats Sam Houston 13-3 behind another productive day at the plate First homer in the Maroon & White for TK‼️#GigEm — Texas A&M Baseball (@AggieBaseball) April 22, 2025 Texas A&M (24-16, 8-10 SEC) once again took care of business during Tuesday's midweek home matchup vs. Sam Houston for the second time this season, run-ruling the visitors 13-3 behind another great day at the plate. Redshirt freshman Blake Binderup continued his impressive streak, hitting two home runs while Kaeden Kent and Caden Sorrell also recorded home runs in the first three innings. Jumping out to an 11-0 lead in the top of the fourth, freshman pitcher Gavin Lyons recorded four strikeouts while allowing one hit. Exiting at three innings, Aiden Sims and Clayton Freshcorn kept the Aggies clean, combining for six strikeouts. However, after Peyton Smith and Brad Rudis entered, the Bearkats scored three runs, but that isn't anything to scoff at, given the run-rule. While Blake Binderup's day was impressive, Terrence Kiel II's two-hit day included his first career home run with the Maroon & White, which was the perfect time right before the Aggies hit the road to face the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns, who struggled against Texas State on Tuesday night. Mid-week games are good opportunities to evaluate the bullpen, but consistency at the plate should be noted. With 15 hits, 12 RBI, and four home runs, including four players with multiple hits, the Aggies did what they had to do to earn a win and get ready for the most significant season of the year. Where to watch Texas A&M baseball vs Tarleton channel, time, streaming info The Texas A&M Aggies (20-15) will host the Tarleton Texans (15-22) at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park on Tuesday night. After sweeping South Carolina over the weekend, the Aggies are aiming to extend their winning streak to seven. It's been an offensive onslaught from A&M over the last six games, scoring 80 runs during that stretch. Coach Michael Early talked about how they started to adjust a few players' swings, and Blake Binderup has been a prime example of the improvement. Binderup has earned SEC Player of the Week after a six-hit, eight RBI, two home-run weekend at home against South Carolina. These teams have met 6 times, with Texas A&M winning every game. Over that period, Texas A&M has outscored the Texans 37-25. SEC names Texas A&M baseball's local product Player of the Week

SEC names Texas A&M baseball's local product Player of the Week The Texas A&M baseball team is on an impressive six-game winning streak and has won back-to-back SEC series. There is a lot of work to be done if the Aggies want to make the postseason, and they will need everyone to be at their best. Bryan-College Station product Blake Binderup has been struggling most of the season and was starting to split time. However, when Gavin Kash went down with an injury, Binderup was given the full opportunity, and after some tweaks to his swing he showed up big in the South Carolina series. On Tuesday, the SEC named the redshirt sophomore as the SEC Player of the Week after a six-hit, eight RBI, two home-run weekend at home against South Carolina. Below is the excerpt from the release from the conference officials: Texas A&M's Blake Binderup helped the Aggies extend their winning streak to a season-high six games with a team-high .538 average to go along with a stolen base, two doubles, two homers and 10 RBI. Binderup recorded a hit in all four games, including a pair of multi-hit performances in the Aggies' sweep of South Carolina. The first baseman also recorded an RBI in all four contests, including a career-high tying five in Friday's series opener. With the Maroon & White trailing 3-2 in the series opener, Binderup ripped his second grand slam of the season to give Texas A&M a 6-3 advantage. In the series finale, Binderup reached base safely in all six plate appearances and delivered a key two-out, two-run homer in the Aggies' historic comeback win. Texas A&M will host Tarleton at Blue Bell Park on Tuesday, April 15, at 6:00 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+. Texas A&M sophomore first baseman is coming off an exceptional week

Texas A&M sophomore first baseman is coming off an exceptional week Not a bad week for Blake Binderup: • 7-for-13 • 2 Doubles • 2 HRs • 10 RBI#TheBoogeyman — Ryan Brauninger (@R_Brauninger) April 12, 2025 Texas A&M (20-15, 6-9 SEC) is on a six-game winning streak after sweeping South Carolina, starting with Thursday's walk-off 8-7 win, followed by Friday's 17-0 run-rule shutout, and capped off with Saturday's epic 15-12 comeback win after trailing 12-2 in the bottom of the sixth. While Hayden Schott and Kaeden Kent's consecutive grand slams led the ninth-inning win, redshirt sophomore first baseman Blake Binderup, who has started the last eight games due to Gavin Kash's injury issues, has been one of the underrated bright spots in the lineup despite his previous struggles at the plate, combined with several defensive lapses. A College Station native, Binderup's 6'6" frame began to show its advantage this week, finishing 7-13 for two doubles, two home runs, and ten RBI, including five RBI during Thursday's first game against the Gamecocks. On Sunday, Binderup's two-run homer started the Aggies' comeback effort, leading to two more runs in the seventh and making way for the two grand slams in the final frame. Blake Binderup is a prime example of sticking with a player through struggle, and if he keeps up this level of play, I could see a situation where head coach Michael Earley opts to keep him at first base and place Gavin Kash in left field when he is healthy. This move would also solidify Caden Sorrell at DH for the remainder of the season. Texas A&M's postseason chase needs Binderup to continue producing at the plate, so while his performance this week was a pleasant surprise, this needs to become the norm if the Aggies have a shot to make it back to the College World Series.
