Actor Kangana Ranaut is all set to star alongside Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Sylvester Stallone, and 'Teen Wolf'-fame Tyler Posey, in her Hollywood debut titled 'Bless be the Evil'. A report in Variety announced that Ranaut has teamed up with Lions Movies for a film directed by Anurag Rudra of 'New Me' and 'Tailing Pond' shooting of 'Bless be the Evil' is set to begin in New York this summer and will be shot entirely in the country, given President Donald Trump's new directives related to a 100 per cent tariff on foreign film productions. The report mentioned that the producers have specifically made the decision to 'avoid running into any uncertainties stemming from the recently announced Trump industry tariffs'.advertisementThe report further revealed the film's synopsis. 'Blessed be the Evil' is the story of a couple who buys an abandoned farm with 'a dark past' after suffering a 'devastating miscarriage'. The story is set in a rural town with rooted tales dealing with a 'malevolent presence'. While talking about the narrative, Rudra told Variety that there's something about local stories that he finds extremely fascinating."Being born and spending my childhood in rural India, I was told stories that got embedded in my mind and heart. This folklore was so special that I truly believed in all the stories, and wanted to showcase them internationally through the art of cinema - the strongest and most beautiful way to connect to dreams and reality," he film will be presented to international buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film not much about Ranaut's role in the film has been revealed yet, the report mentioned that she will be bringing her 'considerable star power to the project'.The film's screenplay is written by Rudra and Gatha Tiwary, who's also the president and founder of Lions Movies.
