Exclusive: Blooming Health raises $26M for social services access
Blooming Health, a social services and health care coordination network, raised a $26 million Series A led by Insight Partners, CEO Nima Roohi tells Axios exclusively.
Why it matters: The company is on track to become cash-flow positive by the first half of 2026, Roohi says.
Insiders Afore Capital, Crossbeam Venture Partners, and Metrodora Ventures joined the Series A round.
Follow the money: Blooming generates north of $10 million in revenue, with 95% of it coming from local governments and health systems, per Roohi.
How it works: New York City-based Blooming helps community-based aging care providers engage with older adults and caregiver clients remotely.
With a network of 1,000-plus community organizations, government agencies and providers, Blooming aims to help case managers and social service agencies coordinate care and referrals.
Its service is designed for seniors, people needing to coordinate child care, veterans, Medicaid patients and other vulnerable populations.
Since raising a $4.2 million seed round in 2023, the company has expanded services to 22 states.
What's next:"We're going to expand to a few more states where there is a huge demand for social care," Roohi says, indicating the focus will be on the Midwest.
