Ms. Rachel Responds To Olivia Munn Comments
On Sunday, Olivia Munn went viral after revealing that she doesn't let her two children watch YouTuber Ms. Rachel's videos, which famously help kids with language development. Olivia — who shares 3-year-old Malcolm and 8-month-old Méi with her husband, John Mulaney — told People, 'I know kids love [Ms. Rachel], but the thing is, if I can't watch it, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life going crazy. These kid shows drive me crazy.' Going on to reveal that she feels this way about most children's programs, Olivia added, 'Malcolm asked for Blue's Clues [recently], and I don't know who showed him Blue's Clues, but they are on my shit list now. I said, 'Hell no. Not in my house.'' Now, amid all the media attention, Ms. Rachel has responded. The YouTuber and Netflix star took to Instagram this week to share screenshots of several headlines about Olivia's comments as she questioned why there was so much coverage over this rather than her ongoing political advocacy. For context, Ms. Rachel has long used her platform to educate her followers and fundraise for children in war zones, including those in Gaza, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Ukraine. She has also called out world leaders, telling them, 'Be so ashamed of your silence. Be so ashamed that you've seen the same images and videos that we've all seen, but they haven't moved you to do the right thing. Be so ashamed that you normally speak out for human rights.' With this in mind, Ms. Rachel called out media outlets covering Olivia's comments over her advocacy. She said, 'WHO CARES?! I'd rather you cover me advocating for kids in Gaza who are literally starving, largest cohort of child amputees in modern history, thousands & thousands killed - no medical care, no education, no homes… do better!!!' 'Not against her at all and don't care that she doesn't want to watch the show - all my love to her and her family - disappointed in the outlets,' she added. Olivia Munn reveals why she doesn't let her kids watch 'Ms. Rachel'
Picture Credit: X Hollywood actress Olivia Munn is not in favour of letting her kids watch 'Ms. Rachel'. The 'Your Friends & Neighbors' actress, 44, said that she doesn't let her kids Malcolm, 3, and Mei, 8 months, watch the YouTube creator's videos, or most kids' shows in general. Olivia shares her kids with husband John Mulaney , with whom she has been married since almost a year, reports 'People' magazine. She told 'People', "I know kids love (Ms. Rachel), but the thing is, if I can't watch it, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life going crazy. These kid shows drive me crazy". Munn also isn't a big fan of cartoons. "Malcolm asked for Blue's Clues (recently), and I don't know who showed him Blue's Clues, but they are on my s*** list now", Munn said. "I said, 'Hell no. Not in my house'. John got him into the Spider-Man cartoons, which is not interesting to me. I put on Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and was like, 'If you want to watch the real-life ones, then we can watch that.' It might be a little too old for him, but I can't take the cartoons". As per 'People', Munn says the only exception is PBS' children's show 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood', which she describes as a "great program". by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like [단독] 서울 임플란트 '33만원' 에 가능해 플란치과 Undo Before Mei's arrival via surrogate last September, Munn and Mulaney, 42, let Malcolm watch the show to help him prepare to become a big brother. When introducing Mei to Malcolm, Munn says she and Mulaney made sure not to "change his world and identity and responsibilities". "A lot of times people will be like, 'Oh, you're a big brother now. Olivia Munn doesn't want her kids watching cartoons
Olivia Munn won't let her children watch cartoons. The Your Friends and Neighbors actress - who has Malcolm, three, and Mei, eight months, with husband John Mulaney doesn't find animated shows particularly "interesting" and she's not a fan of kids' YouTube favourite Ms. Rachel either. She told People magazine: "I know kids love [Ms. Rachel], but the thing is, if I can't watch it, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life going crazy. These kid shows drive me crazy. "Malcolm asked for Blue's Clues [recently], and I don't know who showed him Blue's Clues, but they are on my s*** list now. "I said, 'Hell no. Not in my house.' John got him into the Spider-Man cartoons, which is not interesting to me. "I put on Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Homecoming and was like, 'If you want to watch the real-life ones, then we can watch that.' It might be a little too old for him, but I can't take the cartoons." However, Olivia, 44, made an exception for Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, which she thinks is "great" and she and John, 42, found it helpful for Malcolm to watch the PBS cartoon ahead of the birth of Mei so he could prepare for being a big brother. She said: "Daniel Tiger has a little sister, and we'd tell him, 'There's a baby sister coming.' " After Mei was born, the couple were carefu, not to "change [Malcolm's] world and identity and responsibilities." Olivia explained: "A lot of times people will be like, 'Oh, you're a big brother now. You're not the baby anymore. Now you can help mommy get the diapers.' So, all of a sudden, he has all these responsibilities, and he doesn't just get to be carefree anymore. "Instead, we would say, 'Now we have two babies. There's baby Méi Méi and baby Malcolm.' "He would say, 'Mommy, come over here. Daddy, come over here,' and if we were holding the baby, we would put her down so that he wouldn't feel that all of a sudden now we can't be there for him. "It's not that we were trying to teach him that everything he says goes, but we wanted him to have the transition with her to know that we're still here whenever he needs us. Then, eventually when he'd say, 'Put Méi Méi down,' we'd say, 'No, she wants to see her mommy too.' "He smiles, and he understands." While she is only eight months old, Mei already shows she "loves her brother." Olivia said: "Anywhere he goes, she lights up. He's teaching her how to talk. We have this great video of him telling her to say dada, and she says dada right back. It's amazing and fun for him because he gets instant feedback and gratification from her doing the thing that he's teaching her to do. "I asked if he could teach her mama, but he said no."

Olivia Munn explains why she doesn't allow Ms. Rachel in her house
When it comes to raising young children, it feels almost inevitable that popular children's programming will dominate the television screens at home. But according to actress Olivia Munn, she doesn't allow any of it in her home despite being a mom of two. During a conversation with People, Munn explained that when it comes to even the most popular children's programming, she says no to most of it. 'I know kids love [YouTuber Ms. Rachel], but the thing is, if I can't watch it, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life going crazy,' Munn told People. 'These kid shows drive me crazy.' Munn and her husband, comedian John Mulaney, are parents to 3-year-old son Malcolm and 9-month-old daughter Méi. Even cartoons are a big no, Munn told People. 'Malcolm asked for 'Blue's Clues' [recently], and I don't know who showed him 'Blue's Clues,' but they are on my list now,' she continued. 'I said, 'Not in my house.'' 'John got him into the Spider-Man cartoons, which is not interesting to me,' Munn continued. 'I put on Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and was like, 'If you want to watch the real-life ones, then we can watch that.' It might be a little too old for him, but I can't take the cartoons.' There is one children's show, however, that Munn is able to stomach, and that's PBS' 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood,' admitting that it is a 'great program.' She explained how it helped Malcolm with the transition when his baby sister was born. 'Daniel Tiger has a little sister, and we'd tell him, 'There's a baby sister coming,'' Munn says. Munn's latest addition comes after the actress revealed her daughter was named after a lie her mom, Dung Kim Munn, told her. While a guest on Seth Meyers on May 12, prior to welcoming Méi into the world, Olivia Munn said that Kim Munn told them that the American version of her name Dung was June. 'One day we were driving,' Olivia Munn told Meyers, 'my mom just says, out of nowhere, 'You know, people call me June. My mom's name is Dung. It's spelled D-U-N-G. And so she said, 'You know, people call me June.' And I said, 'When do people call you June?' And she was like, 'You know, a lot of people call me June. It's the Americanized name for Dung.'' Kim Munn's realization led Mulaney to suggest naming their daughter after his mother-in-law. Only later, after sharing the special news with Kim Munn, Olivia Munn learned that only two people have ever called her mother June. 'It's staying June,' she told Meyers. 'We're not changing it. So yeah, she's kind of in honor of my mother, but I hope she doesn't grow up to be as big a liar.'
