Watch: Goodison Park signs off in style with emotional violin rendition of 'Z Cars'

An emotional violin performance of Everton's club anthem 'Z Cars' rang out around Goodison Park as the Toffees officially waved goodbye to their fabled home. Everton are set to move into Bramley Moore Dock – since renamed the Hill Dickinson Stadium for sponsorship reasons – next season under David Moyes. They signed off the Goodison era with a 2-0 win over relegated Southampton, with Iliman Ndiaye bagging a first half brace to secure all three points for the home side. A number of club greats and ex-players were in attendance and paraded on the pitch afterwards, including Irish legend Séamus Coleman and Wayne Rooney – who received a frosty reception as a chant of 'Manchester is full of s***' rang out as he attempted to answer a question for TV. Rooney – who made his Premier League debut for Everton aged 16 in 2002 before moving to Man United two years later – stood his ground and defended his love for the club he grew up supporting with an X-rated reminder. 'I am am a f*****g Scouser, by the way,' he exclaimed.
