The official logline states the show is 'about one family, over time. Bob-Waksberg is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the series. Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen will executive produce for Tornante Television. Lisa Hanawalt is supervising producer and will design original art for the series. Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley will serve as co-executive producers for animation studio ShadowMachine. ShadowMachine will produce out of their LA animation studio. Since 'BoJack,' Bob-Waksberg co-created the Amazon animated series 'Undone' and served as a writer and executive producer on the animated series 'Tuca & Bertie,' which was created by Hanawalt and was also produced by Tornante and ShadowMachine. The latter show originally debuted on Netflix before moving to Adult Swim for its final two seasons. 'BoJack Horseman' was Netflix's first original adult animated series. The creator of ‘Bojack Horseman' has a new show coming

Bob-Waksberg's 'BoJack Horseman' aired from 2014-2020, and starred Will Arnett as the titular Horseman, a name literal in multiple ways: he was a horse that walked and talked like a man, and it was his last name. The series drew praise for its sardonic tone and depiction of the highs and very low lows of life in Hollywood (or Hollywoo, as the show called it). It also had an endlessly inventive visual style, and was filled with clever, often meta jokes. A number of the cast members on the new show made appearances on 'BoJack' over the years, including Jacobson, Byer, Greenfield, and Franco. Advertisement Details on the new show are limited, but none of the five shared publicity images include people who are also animals, a hallmark of the 'BoJack Horseman' universe, so that's potentially one major difference.
