Who is Bobbi Althoff, and why are X users celebrating her downfall?

The world of social media is privy to the rise and fall of various influencers every day. While some go viral in a minute, others lose their career in the blink of an eye. However, in the case of influencer turned podcaster Bobbi Althoff , it is her failed attempt at going viral, which is keeping him in the news. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Recently, she is back in limelight for posting an Instagram story with her alleged boyfriend, announcing a new season of her podcast which will be released on May 15th. However, Althoff's journey began with TikTok reels where she shared her life as a mom of two and her marriage with her husband. Her rise to fame was credited to her dry humour and witty personality. From 2021 to 2023, Althoff's consistent lifestyle content on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube allowed her to gain a massive following of almost 3.5M. The interview which was later taken down featured a whole lot of awkward conversations which were appreciated by fans as Bobbi's dry humour. While her second interview with content creator Funny Marco amassed a shocking 5 million views, it was her third interview which put her on the social media map. Althoff interviewed Drake in an unusual setting, on a bed, in an awkward interaction where she revealed that she had missed her daughter's first birthday to interview the musician whose songs she had "never heard." The interview garnered a whopping 10 million views, with Drake also commenting on Althoff's "horrible parenting" It was around this time that Bobbi's husband, Cory Althoff, filed for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The interview included her claiming that the artist's team reached out to her for an interview, and him addressing that she was not found on any site except TikTok, not even Google. Slowly and steadily, Bobbi's following suffered with fans not wanting to see their favourite celebrities be insulted on various aspects, but the icing on the cake was when she cancelled a comedy tour with Funny Marco and launched a tour of her own. She was now being considered an industry plant due to her having the same managing company as Drake, with whom she was rumoured to have an affair. Additionally, her podcast was dwindling. She tried to start a vlog series, which included one vlog that gained more dislikes than likes and even had interviews with Forbes and WIRED to help save her failing career. However, fans were no longer interested in Bobbi's dry interviews and slowly her career declined to a place where she is only active on Instagram. Why are X users celebrating Bobbi Althoff's downfall? Image credits: X/@The Immortal007 Ever since Bobbi's failed attempt at being a podcaster who made people she interviewed awkward with her statement went viral, fans realised that her behaviour was not a fun technique but rather her personality. When asked about her interviewing technique, she told Forbes that it was "no research, just show up" and to WIRED, she shared that she was on a "lifelong journey to earn money" People on X have been sharing clips from Althoff's podcast interviews where she was roasted by big names; writing comments like, "Each interview I've seen of Bobbi Althoff has gotten increasingly worse and worse", and "I ain't seen a single clip of that Bobbi girl since Offset cooked her" It seems that while users of social media are ready to give a chance to new content, they don't need to keep its value if it doesn't align with their sometimes-shown morals. Althoff's journey is a gleaming mirror of the fact that while unique and rare personas go viral on social media, those who stay are the ones who are real.

83-year-old woman gets to go at lightning speeds on racing track

83-year-old woman gets to go at lightning speeds on racing track Show Caption Hide Caption Bobbi, an 83-year-old woman, leaves the speed limit in the dust Bobbi Oxford, an 83-year-old racing lover, realized a lifelong dream to drive a NASCAR car with the help of Wish of a Lifetime. Even at the age of 83, Bobbi Oxford has the need for speed. Cars have been a lifelong passion. Her brother Marshall used to race in amateur car competitions when she was a child in Hawaii. Bobbi always wanted to race as well, but found few opportunities to do so as a young woman. Marshall had worked and saved to buy his own race car, and the family couldn't afford to subsidize Bobbi's dreams. She did get the chance to race in one event organized specially for women. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day and the event was cut short. Life then took over. For decades, it seemed Bobbi's motor racing dream would never come true. However, out of the blue, it did! Offered the chance of a lifetime to get behind the wheel of a retired race car belonging to Joe Garone, the COO of Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado, Bobbi grabbed the opportunity with both hands. And with her son and daughter-in-law watching from the sidelines, she finally put pedal to the metal at the age of 83! Humankind is your go-to spot for good news! Bobbi Brown, 68, is a 'fan' of this drugstore moisturizer — and it's down to $14

Bobbi Brown is one person who knows how to make mature skin glow. With a whole career dedicated to bringing out the best in every face, she's the beauty guru we trust implicitly. So when Bobbi publicly declared she's a 'fan' of the wildly popular Cerave Moisturizing Cream — boasting over 110,000 rave reviews, by the way — we had to shout it from the rooftops. And right now, you can grab a tube on sale for just $14. This cream does go on sale every once in a while, but you won't see the price drop much lower than this one until Black Friday rolls around. The cosmetics maven (and genius behind Jones Road Miracle Balm) is widely adored for her practical style and turned her 'less is more' philosophy into a global beauty empire. She's all about natural radiance and one thing she uses to get her own glow going is this cream. 'I've recently become a fan of CeraVe,' she told the New York Post. What makes it fan-worthy? For starters, this cream is loaded with three essential ceramides — lipids that help keep your skin barrier strong — and hyaluronic acid, the superstar of moisture retention. It also uses what's called MVE technology, which means your skin stays hydrated for a full 24 hours. If you don't like having to reapply lotion constantly, this feature ensures you won't have to. Not only is Bobbi a fan of this cream, but 110,000 rave reviewers also get behind it. "The hydration of this product is like no other cream I have tried for my dry itchy skin," shared a rave reviewer. "After using my skin remains moisturized Not sticky like some creams. I've been told that my skin looks like that of a 30-year-old and I am 74." "I used it once, and holy crepe!" raved a 69-year-old shopper. "It sank in without being greasy, and I could just feel how grateful my skin was!! I kept looking at it the rest of the day and still — NO crepe! It's wonderful. Amazing. Really. Get some. Your skin will thank you!" "I am 63 years old and I like my skin again," another five-star fan shared. "One of my friends looked at the back of my hands and said that my hands were fantastic looking. There are no age spots on them and they look very youthful. I love this product." Some shoppers have notes on the packaging. "My go-to lotion," wrote one shopper. "My only complaint is that I wish I could find a travel size for my purse."Another shopper shared: "I wish it could also be sold in travel/small size for traveling purposes." If you have Amazon Prime, you'll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $35 or more.) The reviews quoted above reflect the most recent versions at the time of publication.
