"Our Sundays used to be dull, and we used to wake up by the time the Happy Streets finished. But now we feel super energised for the remaining day and hope to utilise the Sunday in a more productive way. The yoga session was my favourite as it was really energising and positive," he shared. Flash mobs further electrified the atmosphere later in the morning, with around 40 students from Pragati College for Women, Kukatpally, taking over the street with their lively performances, drawing spontaneous participation from the crowd. Art found its space too, with Global Art hosting a workshop where children and parents dabbled in brush strokes and colours. A pet exhibition by Pet Paradise, featuring different bird species, became a heartwarming corner, while cycling sessions added another layer of fun for families. Raju Sharma (65), who attended with his friend Srinivas Gupta (71), said the event offers a rare platform for intergenerational bonding. "Youngsters are the future, and they should take part in such activities. It is a nice place for the community to enjoy and engage. We will also ask more of our friends to come next time," he said. Presented by Joyalukkas and powered by ASBL, with associate partner Bharti Cement and support from Cyberabad Police, GHMC, Hyderabad Bicycling Club, and Student Tribe, Happy Streets has quickly become a cherished Sunday ritual for Hyderabadis — offering much more than just fun.
