Indian takeaway 'chuffed to bits' to be recognised as top-rated in Newport
An Indian takeaway has been recognised as being in the top 15 per cent in Newport for its "quality and service."
Spicy Aroma Balti, on Caerleon Road, was named Just Eat's top-rated partner for an Indian takeaway, meaning it is in the top 15 per cent in Newport for the quality of its food and its service.
The takeaway, which is approaching its 30-year anniversary in December 2025, is "chuffed to bits" to be given this recognition.
The award from Just Eat (Image: Bodrul Alam) Manager Bodrul Alam said: "I believe with the current climate of doing business, to achieve being awarded top-rated partner—we have not only survived harsh economic climate but we have not sacrificed on hygiene or quality.
"Times have been tough but I always believed if you do things right then you would be rewarded and recognised."
The takeaway received two awards in the same week, with head chef Abdul Hoque saying: "I have been a head chef for over 30 years and it's another proud moment in my career to receive two awards in the same week and I thank every single customer who has supported us for 30 years.
"We don't compromise on hygiene when it comes to our food.
"On our 30-year anniversary, I invite everyone to try our food and see why we have been around for 30 years."
A statement from Just Eat said: "[Spicy Aroma Balti's] customer rating score puts them in the top 15 per cent of all our partners.
"In recognition of the consistent quality in service and performance they've been made an official Just Eat Top Partner."
Spicy Aroma Balti is open from 5pm to midnight, seven days a week, at 191 Caerleon Road.
