Greta Thunberg spotted wearing jersey for Dublin football club on journey to Gaza
She is aboard a ship attempting break Israel's blockade by delivering food and medical supplies
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has been spotted wearing a Bohemians x Fontaines D.C. jersey while on her journey to Gaza.
The 22-year-old is sailing aboard the Madleen with a group of volunteers.
In a series of snaps showing those aboard the vessel, Greta can be seen wearing a Bohemians F.C. jersey, sponsored by Dublin band Fontaines DC.
The shirt was designed by guitarist Carlos O'Connell, with 30% of profits going to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The design plays homage to the group's most recent album Romance, featuring lyrics printed around the neck and a hem tag of a Palestinian flag.
The words 'Saoirse don Phalaistín', which in Irish means 'Free Palestine', are also emblazoned on the top.
Thunberg joined 11 other activists, aboard the ship when it departed from Catania, in Sicily on Sunday.
Irish activist Caoimhe Butterly, Senator Lynn Ruane and actor Liam Cunningham were among those who waved the ship off from the Italian port.
The group are hoping to raise awareness about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as they plan to reach the area with much-needed aid.
The mission, which is operated by Freedom Flotilla Coalition, aims to break the blockade of Gaza.
They are due to arrive this weekend.

"We are doing this because no matter what odds we are against, we have to keep trying, because the moment we stop trying is when we lose our humanity," Thunberg said ahead of their departure.
'Because the moment we stop trying is when we lose our humanity. And no matter how dangerous this mission is, it's not even near as dangerous as the silence of the entire world in the face of the live-streamed genocide,' she added.
