Dorset library users lose access to reading app
HUNDREDS of library users across the South West have lost access to their online reading app.
The BorrowBox app, used by the regional library service, stopped working earlier this week with users unable to access their accounts.
Typically attempts to open the app resulted in it immediately closing down, with the problem widespread on Apple devices using the 15 operating system.
The app is used to borrow electronic editions of books as well as a limited range of newspapers and magazines.
Bolinda Digital, which operates the app on behalf of the South West library consortium, said a fix had been developed for the problem which was currently with Apple awaiting its approval.
'All loans and reserves will be reinstated when users regain access to the app'' said a statement – adding that users should still be able to gain access on other devices via the BorrowBox website.
