(Michele Nucci/LaPresse via AP) ROME (AP) — Genoa won at Bologna 3-1 with two goals from 18-year-old Lorenzo Venturino in the final round of Serie A on Saturday. The defeat still didn't prevent Bologna fans from celebrating another strong season, which included an Italian Cup trophy and a Europa League berth. Advertisement Bologna was left in eighth place while Genoa was 13th. Vitinha put Genoa ahead early and Venturino made the most of his first start with two first-half goals, the first of which included some fancy dribbling past several defenders. Riccardo Orsolini pulled one back for Bologna in the second half. Later, AC Milan was to finish a disappointing season against last-placed Monza. Thousands of Milan supporters protested outside the club headquarters earlier after the Rossoneri failed to qualify for Europe and were beaten by Bologna in the cup final. ___ AP soccer:

Leaders Inter level with Napoli after late defeat at Bologna
Inter Milan's Francesco Acerbi (top) and Bologna's Thijs Dallinga in action during the match at Renato Dall'Ara stadium. (AP pic) BOLOGNA : Inter Milan remained level with Napoli at the top of Serie A after Riccardo Orsolini fired Bologna to a last-gasp 1-0 win over the reigning champions on Sunday. Orsolini flashed home a scissor-kick in the fourth minute of stoppage time to bring the house down at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara and move Bologna into fourth place. Inter's tight battle for the Scudetto with Napoli looks likely to go down to the wire after a tired-looking team were punished for a low-key display, which came in stark contrast to their thrilling Champions League win over Bayern Munich. Simone Inzaghi's team barely created a chance with nine of the 11 players who started against Bayern on Wednesday night on the pitch at kick-off. 'It's a defeat that hurts because we shouldn't have lost that match. We should have defended the throw-in better,' said Inzaghi to DAZN. 'But it's not like our season finishes here, far from it. 'We're level on points and there are five matches left… it will be very difficult but we have plenty of faith.' Inter have only won one of their last six Serie A matches away from home. Sunday's defeat has given Napoli a clear opportunity to claim their second league crown in two seasons. Napoli's final five matches are all against the division's also-rans while next weekend Inter take on Roma, a match which comes after the second leg of their Italian Cup semi-final with AC Milan and before their trip to Barcelona in the last four of the Champions League. Inter lead Napoli on goal difference but a play-off will decide the destination of the title should the pair finish the season level on points. Orsolini's 14th goal of a superb season boosted Bologna's hopes of returning to the Champions League with fifth-place Juventus a point behind ahead of their clash with Parma on Monday night. Bologna could well face Inter in the Italian Cup final as they have a 3-0 lead heading into the decisive second leg of their semi-final with Empoli on Thursday. Orsolini has been a key part of Bologna's surge since the turn of the year under coach Vincenzo Italiano, who was sent off in the 56th following a touchline row with Inzaghi's assistant Massimiliano Farris. 'I was a bit behind the full-back and as soon as I saw that the ball was going past him I coordinated myself,' said Orsolini. 'I try it quite a lot, but nine times out of 10 you don't get the ball. This time it went well and I'm happy, for the importance of the goal and because the match was basically over at that point.' Atalanta, in third, are four points ahead of Bologna and firmly back on course for qualification for Europe's elite club competition after winning 1-0 at Milan. Ederson nodded home the only goal of the game at the end of a brilliant counter-attack in the 62nd minute at the San Siro, where home fans again demanded American owners RedBird sell the troubled club. Milan sit ninth, six points away from the European spots as a dreadful league campaign creaks towards its long-awaited end, with Wednesday's cup derby their last chance to salvage something from the season. Atalanta have turned a corner and would have won by more had the league's leading scorer Mateo Retegui not fluffed his lines in the 74th minute, when Ademola Lookman rolled him a chance to tap home into an open goal.

Juve hold top 4 spot at Bologna as Atalanta close in on Champions League
Bologna's Remo Freuler (centre) fires a shot past Juventus defenders to score the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Renato Dall'Ara stadium. (EPA Images pic) BOLOGNA : Juventus clung onto their place in Serie A's Champions league positions on Sunday after being held to a 1-1 draw at rivals Bologna. Remo Freuler's deflected strike in the 54th minute cancelled out Khephren Thuram's early opener and gave Bologna a deserved home draw at a packed Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Juve are in fourth on goal difference ahead of Roma, in fifth after beating Fiorentina 1-0, and sixth-placed Lazio with the trio all locked on 63 points. Bologna might sit seventh but they are only a point behind Juve and the Rome clubs and are also in with a chance of their first major trophy since 1974 with the Italian Cup final against AC Milan coming up a week on Wednesday. The draw also created a even more crowded battle for a place in next season's Champions League with another round of crucial match-ups coming up next weekend. Juve, without a host of starters at Bologna, are at Lazio while Roma head to Atalanta who were this weekend's big winners in the tussle for the top four with a 4-0 thumping of relegated Monza. Atalanta are five points ahead of Juve, Roma and Lazio with three matches remaining in the season and are now big favourites to claim one of two remaining spots in Europe's elite club competition. Charles De Ketelaere netted his first league goals since before Christmas in the first half, before Ademola Lookman and Marco Brescianini completed the rout for Atalanta with well-taken strikes after the break. Rock-bottom Monza will play in Serie B next season, ending a three-season run in the top flight for the team owned by the Berlusconi family. Assured of promotion are Sassuolo and Pisa, the latter club securing automatic promotion on Sunday even though they lost 1-0 to Bari as their closest rivals Spezia were beaten 2-1 at Reggiana. Roma briefly held fourth place by beating Fiorentina, Artem Dovbyk nodding home the only goal of the game in stoppage time at the end of the first half to extend his team's unbeaten league run to 19 matches. Edoardo Bove had an emotional reunion with Roma fans after the game, the Rome-born midfielder and Romanista openly bawling in front the supporters who paid tribute to the 22-year-old whose footballing future is in the balance. On loan at Fiorentina until the end of the season, Bove suffered a harrowing on-pitch heart attack in December and hasn't played since being discharged from hospital with a defibrillator installed. Bove will have to try his hand abroad if the defibrillator, which ensures a regular heartbeat, has to remain permanently due to the stringent health regulations which govern sport in Italy.
