For the first time in several days, no region in Manitoba or northwestern Ontario is under an air quality alert Thursday.
While many regions will still experience localized smoke, it is a nice, likely brief reprieve.
Much of Manitoba will see sunshine or a mix of sun and cloud with light winds Thursday. Daytime highs in the south will reach the low to mid-20s, while temperatures across the north will rise into the mid-teens.
Wildfire zones in the northwest will remain dry Thursday and Friday before showers are expected on the weekend.
Showers are expected in southern Manitoba Monday, including in wildfire areas in the southeast.
Conditions look great Thursday evening for the Bomber game at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg.
Lighter winds from the north are expected throughout the game under a partly cloudy sky. Temperatures in the first half of the game will be in the low 20s, dropping slowly into the upper teens for the second half.
Friday and Saturday will be nice June days in the city with a mix of sun and cloud and daytime highs in the low to mid-20s.
Sunday will feel like summertime for dad on Father's Day on Sunday, with a mix of sun and cloud and an afternoon high temperature of 27 C.
Father's Day is also Manitoba Marathon race day. Temperatures overnight leading into the morning race will drop to around 14 C, so runners can expect temperatures in the upper teens and low 20s.
