Yoga gaining popularity in rural, tribal areas: Parvathipuram MLA
Parvathipuram MLA Bonela Vijayachandra said on Sunday that the practice of yoga is gaining popularity in rural and tribal areas with the Yogandhra-2025 initiative of the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu-led government, adding that simple asanas can improve health and fitness for people of all ages. He visited the yoga camps organised by the Indian Medical Association, Lions Club and other organisations in association with Parvathipuram-Manyam district administration. During his visit he told officials to conduct more yoga camps across all mandals of Parvathipuram. He said that yoga is beneficial to all age groups, including the youth who face health issues due to changing lifestyles. District Medical and Health Officer S. Bhaskara Rao, IMA President Yalla Vivek, Lions Club President B. Nagabhusanam, along with others, were present for the event. Meanwhile, Collector A. Shyam Prasad has directed officials to encourage people to enrol in the Yogandhra portal, as the programme will continue for a few more weeks. He said, 'Meritorious practitioners will be given certificates and awards on the International Yoga Day, which is on June 21.'

Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram): Parvathipuram MLA Bonela Vijayachandra appealed the representatives of various companies to extend job opportunities to the unemployed yet talented youth of Parvathipuram Manyam district. Speaking as the chief guest at a mega job fair organised at Bhaskar Degree College on Friday, the MLA emphasised the potential of the district's youth and the importance of supporting their employment aspirations. On Friday, a job fair was conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with several companies. MLA Vijayachandra commended the youth of the region, describing them as 'royal and highly capable,' and stressed that they would excel if given the right employment opportunities. 'If your parents are unemployed at home, then you take the initiative to become employed and support them,' the MLA advised the youth. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunities provided through the job fair, drawing inspiration from Indian professionals who are making their mark globally. Sharing his personal experience, MLA Vijayachandra said, 'I too started my career in a private company and rose step by step to where I am today. With dedication and commitment, you can also reach great heights.' he said. KSK Chaitanya, skill development officer said that around 102 youth have been selected by various companies and he stated that they would provide skill nurturing class and support the youth to get employment.

MLA inaugurates cashew procurement centre
Parvathipuram: In a significant move to support tribal farmers, MLA Bonela Vijayachandra inaugurated a cashew procurement centre at the Gandhiji Van Dhan Vikas Kendra in Dokisila village, Parvathipuram mandal. Thursday he launched the centre and later the MLA emphasised the commitment of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu towards inclusive development and livelihood generation across communities. He urged citizens to utilise the various employment schemes introduced by the government and take active part in states progress. The newly launched procurement centre is expected to serve not only Dokisila but also surrounding mandals, offering farmers a platform to sell their produce at minimum support prices. The MLA highlighted ongoing efforts to establish a processing unit within the market yard, noting that the proposal has already been brought to the attention of the ITDA Project Officer. He also praised CM Naidu for empowering women, stating that many who were once confined to kitchens have now become financially independent, thanks to self-help groups and savings initiatives. Many tribal farmers in the region cultivate cashew as a major crop. The MLA assured that even if traders don't come directly, the government will ensure MSP is provided through this centre. He later distributed house site pattas to tribal beneficiaries. DRDA officials and several TDP leaders were present.
