William T. Meshot, Boardman, Ohio
BOARDMAN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – On Monday, April 14, 2025, William T. Meshot passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 92. Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, William was a proud 1950 graduate of Wilson High School. Find obituaries from your high school After graduation, he became a skilled bricklayer with Bricklayers Local #8 out of Youngstown, Ohio, where he was the President for nine years to becoming Vice-President after his Presidency term, dedicating years to a craft he took great pride in. He later went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. His service was a source of great pride, and he carried the values of duty, loyalty, and integrity throughout his life. William was also a life-long member of the Lowellville Rod & Gun Club where they named the Pistol Range after him in his honor for his dedication to the was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Beldina (Sassanelli) Meshot; his first wife, Ethel (Engle) Meshot; their daughter, Carmella Daley and his stepdaughter, Virginia is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Meshot; his son-in-law, James Daley; his stepdaughter, Josie (Rabassi) and her husband, Michael Lyon and his cherished grandchildren, Jasmine Lyon, Kiana (Lyon) and her husband, Nelson Kiesecker, Cody Lyon and his wife, Nicole (Carbone), Alexa Lyon, Vaun Stanley and Clayton Neopoliton. He also leaves behind his sister, Carole Meshot; nephew, Dan Singer and his wife, Pat; nieces, Lisa Costner and Laurie Singer; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, great-nephews and a great-niece, all of whom brought joy to his will be held at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44512 on Monday, April 21, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., followed by military honors provided by the great men of VFW Post No. 9571 of Ellsworth. Steven Layne Salser, Boardman, Ohio
BOARDMAN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Steven Layne Salser, 69, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, March 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family following a year long battle with cancer. Steve was born June 22, 1955, in Ravenswood, West Virginia, the son of Clyde and Flossie (Ferguson) Salser. Find obituaries from your high school He worked in the fabricating plant of General Motors, retiring after 40 years of employment. Steve loved playing golf, riding motorcycles, gardening and often was found doing home improvement projects. He also enjoyed playing pinochle with his brothers-in-law Mark and John. Stephen enjoyed traveling to Mexico, going on cruises, and family trips to Maine. One of Steve's greatest joys was to spend time with his beautiful grandson Grayson. He always enjoyed spending time with his son Jason and his wife Emmy out in Arizona. Steve will be missed by so many especially the love of his life Kathi. They were married 24 years and enjoyed the little things in life and especially cherished each day since his cancer diagnosis a year ago. Besides his wife, Kathi; he leaves a son Jason (Emmy) Salser; grandson, Grayson; Kathi's children Linden and Amber; parents Clyde and Flossie Salser, brother, Mike (Maria) Salser; sister, Cheryl Nichols; sisters-in-law, Sally (Mark) Beck, Vicki (John) Grillo; numerous nieces and nephews; and family dogs, Shiloh and Nala. BOARDMAN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Maribeth Campana, 79, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Maribeth was born October 6, 1945, in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Helen Daubenspeck Eckert. Find obituaries from your high school She was a graduate of Boardman High School. She worked as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and then went on to earn a degree in nursing. She retired as a registered nurse from Forum Health after 27 years. In her spare time, Maribeth enjoyed attending NASCAR races, vacationing at the beach, especially Key West, Florida and going out to dinner. She made a lasting impression on people she met with her warmth, generosity and sense of humor. Maribeth will always be remembered lovingly by her husband, Robert, whom she married on August 30, 1984; daughter, Renee Spinred; son, Kenneth Johnson; grandson, Sean Johnson; brother, William Eckert; sister-in-law, Lori Campana and brother-in-law, Randall Campana Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Ruben Spinred; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Eckert, Nora Campana and Toni Campana and brother-in-law, Ronald Campana. YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Maria Bonilla (Martinez), 96, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Born in Juncos, Puerto Rico, she moved to Ohio 65 years ago, where she established her home and raised her family. Find obituaries from your high school After her husband's retirement in 1979, she moved back to Puerto Rico before relocating to Spring Hill, Florida, in 1995. She returned to Ohio in 2000, where she spent the remaining years of her life. Maria was an amazing cook, known for her delicious meals, and a loving mother to six children: daughters Hilda Bonilla, Maria Mahinparvar, Diva Morgan, and Edna Bonilla; and sons Angel Bonilla and Rudy Bonilla. Maria was a devoted housewife who loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She had a deep appreciation for plants and animals, caring for many pets, including roosters, canaries, and dogs throughout her life. Her passion for music and dancing brightened the lives of all who knew possessed a sharp memory and investigative mind, always seeking to learn more and understand the world around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Pinero; father, Victor Martinez; and her beloved husband, Angel Bonilla. Maria is survived by her six children, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
