Myles Borne is empowered. At birth, Myles Borne was diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, a potentially deadly condition that renders newborns unable to breathe outside the uterus. While he ultimately survived PPHN, it left him with a noticeable hearing impairment. Advertisement On this week's episode of WWE NXT, Borne opened up about his struggle with being partially deaf. Despite them, Borne noted that he still aims to inspire those affected by similar conditions. Moreover, he plans to shock the world at NXT Battleground, when he challenges Oba Femi for the NXT Championship. 'We've been dancing around this whole thing for a while now, but I have a disability. I'm partially deaf. It affects my speech. It affects the way that I talk,' Borne said. 'But let me tell you something. Last week, when I eliminated Ethan Page and Shawn Spears [in the number one contender's battle royal], I heard y'all going crazy. I don't want to just be known as the deaf kid. I want to be judged by my ability, not by my disability. And that's what everyone with a disability wants to be judged by. 'So yeah, Battleground, I'm the underdog. I'm facing a dominant champion, but I'm fighting for all the kids out there who are struggling, fighting their own fight,' he continued. 'To prove that you too can achieve success. Oba Femi, I hope you're listening, because last week, they didn't give me a shot, but look what happened. May 25th, they're not giving me a shot, but I'm ready to shock the world again. One killed, several students injured in French high school stabbing attack
A French high-school student has been arrested after killing a classmate and wounding three others during a stabbing spree. The incident happened in at the Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides high school in the north-western French city of Nantes on Thursday afternoon. The response has been hailed by French President Emmanuel Macron, who said teachers tackled the armed student and prevented more carnage. "Through their intervention, the teachers likely prevented other tragedies. Their courage demands respect," Mr Macron wrote on X. The alleged attacker was later arrested by police. France has in recent years been shaken by a series of school incidents involving attacks on teachers as well as schoolchildren by their peers. French President Emmanuel Macron has praised quick-thinking teachers for preventing further bloodshed. ( Reuters: Abdul Saboor ) Police to make random searches Concerned parents gathered outside of the school, which had already been cordoned off by police who, with French soldiers, were guarding the site. Ludivine, 48, said she had learned that the attack had happened in her daughter's class. "As an anxious mother who doesn't let her out alone, I never thought anything would happen to her at her school," she said. Senior members of the French cabinet addressed the media at the scene. "A knife attack took place at lunchtime today at a private school in Nantes," Ms Borne posted on X earlier. "I am travelling to the scene with @BrunoRetailleau to express my solidarity with the victims and my support for the educational community," she added. Student killed in French school stabbing attack
PARIS — One student has been killed and at least three people were injured in stabbing at a private school in western France, French media say. The attack took place at Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides school in Nantes on Thursday afternoon, according to reports. The attacker is said to have been arrested at the scene after being restrained by a teacher. A significant police presence and emergency services were sent to the school, which was evacuated. Eye-witness accounts in local media described students running through the site, with some confined to classrooms after an alarm was sounded. Ouest France reported that parents had been informed about the attack and that authorities helped students gradually leave the des Épinettes, where the school is located, has been closed Education Minister and Interior Minister are due to visit the school on Thursday afternoon.Élisabeth Borne wrote on social media that she would "express my solidarity with the victims".Nantes public prosecutor Antoine Leroy is said to have visited the school and will hold a press conference at 19:00. — BBC
