Was the Boston Celtics' 2024-25 season a failure? As far as the 2024-25 NBA regular season goes, it is hard to look at a 60+ win season after hanging a banner as anything even close to a flop. But in the City of Boston, they do not care much about regular season win totals with the history of the storied ball club in the postseason being what it is, nor should they. An early exit from the postseason in the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs certainly does not feel like much of an accomplishment, but with a new champion every year for the last seven, including this one with the vast majority going out in the second round adds some important context.
