UAE: Dubai resident wins Dh20-million prize in Big Ticket draw
Jahangir Alom, a Bangladeshi expat from Dubai, won Dh20 million in the latest Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle draw held on Monday, March 3.
Jahangir got lucky with ticket number 134468, which he bought in February 11.
When the moment arrived for Jahangir to hear the life-changing news, hosts Richard and Bouchra attempted to call him twice. Unfortunately, he didn't answer, but the hosts assured the audience they would keep trying until they reached him.
In a lighthearted moment, Bouchra even joked that if any of Jahangir's friends were watching, they should refrain from breaking the news themselves and let the hosts share the excitement.
Adding to the special atmosphere of the draw, Ashik Patinharath, the grand prize winner from the February 3 raffle, made a memorable appearance. Exactly one month after his big win, Ashik had the honour of picking today's winner, a poetic gesture that added a special touch to Jahangir's Dh20-million win.
