City of Birmingham, Birmingham Region Health Partnership to host health care job fair
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Birmingham, in collaboration with Birmingham Region Health Partnership, will host a health care job fair June 10. The job fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boutwell Auditorium, according to organizers. Job seekers will be connected with healthcare employers across the region and have the opportunity to explore open positions and meet hiring managers. East Lake Library reopening after being closed for 4 years in Birmingham Those who are enrolled or completed the Good Jobs Birmingham Healthcare training program will have access to different services at the job fair including transportation assistance, resume coaching and interview preparation. Alabama breast cancer foundation to host casino night fundraiser
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A casino night fundraiser is being hosted on March 1 to raise money for research for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. Mardi Gras celebration happening at Boutwell Auditorium on March 4 On Saturday, March 1, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the 17th annual 'Pink Palace Casino Night' will have events such as 'Vegas-style casino gaming,' 'Diamonds and Drinks,' and more. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with a silent auction available as well. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at the door. The event will be held at 2132 Lornaridge Lane in Hoover.
