Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser returning to Landmark
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sister announced that its annual Bowl For Kids Sake fundraiser is returning to Landmark Lanes for two days later this month. The events will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 12 and 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27, Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters Development and Communications Manager Jillian Guede said. Bowl for Kids Sake helps more than 400 local kids The event will feature bowling, raffles, music and pizza. All money raised will go towards helping the Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sister mentoring and guidance programs. 'We are excited to host the Bowl for Kids' Sake again this year,' said Jami Truelove, President, and CEO at Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters. 'In the past, it has been a fun way to engage the community and the children in our programs, with the goal of raising support to reach more kids.' 2025 Bowl for Kids' Sake kicks off in Sioux City
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The lanes at Plaza Bowl in Sioux City were hopping Friday night as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland held its annual 'Bowl for Kids' Sake' fundraiser. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been holding this event for over 20 years. This year's theme is 'Luau on the Lanes.' The fundraiser is part of a national event with with the national office of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Salvation Army provides meals to blizzard-affected families in Onawa About 250 bowlers will bowl in the two-day event at Plaza Bowl. 'We're so grateful for the Siouxland community for really coming together and supporting us, helping us with our vision so we can stay open and continue to help kids because we serve about 100 kids per year,' Kim Wilson with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland said. 'Tonight it was the adults showing their skills on the lanes, and tomorrow it will be the kids' turn. The event went until 10 p.m. Friday night. ‘Luau on the Lanes' to raise money for Siouxland nonprofit
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland is inviting the community to come and say 'aloha' as they participate in the nonprofit's annual 'Bowl for Kids' Sake' fundraiser. This year's theme is 'Luau on the Lanes.' Teams are encouraged to bring whatever Hawaiian gear they've got and bowl some strikes for a good cause.
