Alden Richards completes 61km bike ride: 'Longest ride so far'

Alden Richards is pushing his limits when it comes to cycling. On Instagram, the Asia's Multimedia Star shared his latest achievement: a 61-kilometer bike ride. In his post, Alden shared in-action snaps of himself while cycling. "Longest ride… so far," he wrote. Cycling is just one of Alden's fitness hobbies. He's also into running and working out. Earlier, the Sparkle star opened up about his struggles, saying 2024 was his "lowest year." "Inuuna ko muna lahat ng tao bago sarili ko. But last year, medyo—I think that was my breaking point kasi minsan 'di ba tayo, we always go out of our way to help other people," he told Nelson Canlas in "24 Oras." "Ang nangyari sa akin, paglingon ko do'n sa timba ko, wala na palang natira sa akin. And then that broke me to a million pieces," he added. Alden was recently named 2024 Box Office King by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) for "Hello, Love, Again," with Kathryn Bernardo as the Box Office Queen. Alden Richards gives glimpse of dance arena for ‘Stars on the Floor'

Alden Richards was beaming with pride as he gave a glimpse into the dance arena for 'Stars on the Floor,' which he will be hosting. In Nelson Canlas' report on '24 Oras' Friday, Alden served as a set tour guide and showed the different features of the filming area. The impressive arena-layout with a wide space for audiences is only fitting for the upcoming talent competition because, per Alden, 'This is tagged as one of the biggest dance competitions and celebrity dance showdown of 2025 for GMA.' The setup also has giant LED walls that are placed all over the dance arena. 'This goes to show how big the show is,' Alden said. It also came with a dedicated area where the judges will be seated. 'We're calling them Dance Authority. But kung sino 'yang mga 'yan, hindi ko muna puwedeng i-reveal,' he said. While their identities were not yet revealed, Alden gave some clues. 'Lahat dancer, lahat palong-palo, lahat sikat. Lahat, naku, may mga kaniya-kaniyang forte pagdating sa pagsasayaw, so nakakatuwa lang din 'yung dynamics and the differences between the personalities,' he said. Aside from serving as host, Alden will also be performing during a dance production number on the show. 'Medyo parang, hindi naman kinalawang nang konti, pero parang bumagal lang 'yung pick up. But with this, hopefully, bumalik ulit. Andito pa rin naman pala eh. Andito pa rin 'yung dancing skills natin,' he previously said. Alden was recently named 2024 Box Office King by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) for 'Hello, Love, Again,' with Kathryn Bernardo as the Box Office Queen. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News
