While that may disappoint some fans, there's still a massive surprise in store. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 picks up immediately after the explosive events of the first film. Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the fierce and unforgettable former jail warden. In parallel, Rajinikanth is in the final stages of shooting Coolie, his much-anticipated collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film, set to release on August 14, 2025, features a star-studded ensemble including Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao, and even a special cameo by Aamir Khan. Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir also star, with Pooja Hegde delivering a sizzling dance number.
