. With a rare amateur boxing record of 396-1, the fighter concluded his career with a pro-boxing record of 18-3.
In this limited number of bouts, Lomachenko created history by winning titles across the featherweight, super-featherweight and lightweight divisions.
Lomachenko's last bout was his win in May 2024 against George Kambosos Jr.

Vasyl Lomachenko is considered one of the greatest amateur boxers of all time, owing to the record he set during his career. Apart from competing and winning titles across different weight divisions, the Ukrainian fighter also won a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships, gold at the 2008 European Championships, consecutive gold at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, and consecutive gold at the 2009 and 2011 World Championships.
The fighter's professional boxing career started in the year 2013, continuing until May 2024, before announcing his retirement today on June 5, 2025, through a post on Instagram. Lomachenko captioned his farewell video, writing, 'Peace to all,' leaving the fans emotional because of the departure.

One of the users wrote, 'Vasya! You were, are and will remain a great boxer and a wonderful Man! Vivat👏'

Throughout his career, Lomachenko received numerous awards from the media outlets, including the Ring and ESPN naming him the Prospect of the Year in 2013, CBS naming him Boxer of the Year in 2016, and HBO Sports naming him Boxer of the Year in both 2016 and 2017.

Lomachenko's last bout was after a year-long layoff since his unanimous defeat against Devin Haney. The fighter left his mark, winning the IBF belt back, securing a victory over Kambosos Jr. The world of boxing is left with a void with the fighter departing from the combat sports for good.
