Laceyville man sentenced for possessing child sex abuse materials

LACEYVILLE, Pa. (WETM) – A Laceyville man has been sentenced to serve time in a county correctional facility after officials say he was found with child sex abuse materials. Blake A. Manning, 19, was sentenced to a minimum of six months to a maximum of two years in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, along with five years of probation, for the crime of possession of child sexual abuse material, as stated in a release from the Bradford County District Attorney's Office. Painted Post woman arrested on child sex abuse material charge Officials say Manning was charged with the crime by Pennsylvania State Police in October of 2024 following an investigation where troopers found pictures of two 14-year-old girls on Manning's cell phone. As a result, Manning will be placed on monitoring with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, SORNA and Pennsylvania's version of Megan's Law for 15 years, which will require him to report to state police regularly, said the DA. Police: Syracuse man arrested in Bath for driving without a license In addition, the DA noted that if Manning receives any additional charges or fails to complete the terms of his probation when he is released from the correctional facility, his probation could be revoked, and he could face a harsher sentence, including time in state prison. Poughkeepsie man sentenced jail time in PA after failing to update sex offender registry

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WETM) — A Poughkeepsie man was sentenced recently to time in the Bradford County Correctional Facility after the district attorney's office said he failed to update his address on the sex offender registry. William Lester O'Dell, 54, was sentenced to a minimum of eight months to a maximum of 23 months in the Bradford County Correctional Facility along with a concurrent term of four years probation for the charge of failure to comply with registration requirements, a felony in the second degree. The charge stems from O'Dell being a registered sex offender after two convictions for sexual abuse in 1993 and sodomy in 1997, both taking place in Dutchess County, NY. Hornell man arrested on theft charges connected to incident of welfare fraud As a result of these convictions, O'Dell was required by law to register on the Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act when he moved from New York to Pennsylvania. The Bradford County District Attorney's Office said O'Dell failed to update the registry when he moved back to New York from Pennsylvania. It was learned that O'Dell updated the register in New York, but did not update Pennsylvania in telling the state he left. 'It is very important that law enforcement authorities know the whereabouts of sexual offenders who are required to register,' said Bradford County District Attorney Richard Wilson. 'That is the reason we have this registration requirement. Failing to register puts law enforcement at a disadvantage and therefore puts the community at right,' Wilson said. Wyalusing woman sentenced jail time after stealing $75k from fire department; elderly couple

FRANKLIN TWP, Pa. (WETM) — A Wyalusing woman could see several years behind bars after she was sentenced recently for stealing more than $75,000 from a fire department she previously worked at, according to information from the Bradford County District Attorney's Office. Patricia Susan Tuttle, 42, was sentenced to a minimum of six months to a maximum of 23 months in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, followed by five years of probation, for theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception. Tuttle was also ordered to pay $77,400 in restitution fees. Tuttle was initially arrested on the charge of theft by unlawful taking after she stole more than $75,000 from the Franklin Township Fire Department through fraudulent PayPal transactions and ATM withdrawals from the fire company while she worked as the station's secretary/treasurer. Sayre man sentenced up to seven years in prison for repeated sexual assault against a child Tuttle was ordered to pay back the money and was only going to be sentenced to probation due to her lack of criminal history and claims that she got the money to pay back the fire company through friends and family. The AG's office said they learned Tuttle stole the money she used to repay the stolen funds from the fire company by lying to an elderly couple and fraudulently convincing them to give her a loan. After an investigation into the theft, Tuttle was charged with theft by deception, a felony, and was later convicted on that charge. 'For Tuttle to go from no criminal history to six months in jail and having a felony on her record sends a good message to her not to reoffend,' said Bradford County District Attorney, Richard Wilson, 'and if she violates her parole or probation, she faces more incarceration,' he said. Butler, PA, man gets probation for breaking into garage, stealing beer from Dandy

TOWANDA, Pa. (WETM) — A Butler, Pennsylvania, man will spend a few years on probation for breaking into a garage in Wysox and stealing a case of beer from a Dandy Mini Mart over the summer. Nicholas Andrew Bush, 40, was sentenced to 36 months of court-ordered supervision on Feb. 27 after being convicted of evading arrest on foot, criminal trespass and retail theft, according to the Bradford County District Attorney's Office. Bush's sentence stems from two incidents that occurred in June 2024. Gillett man sentenced for having meth, fleeing police A Pennsylvania State Trooper arrested Bush on June 6. The district attorney's office stated that Bush kicked in a garage door on Golden Mile Road in Wysox Township, and this damaged the door and its lock. He then got into an argument with the garage's occupants and used foul language. After he was arrested, Bush told authorities that he drank 38 beers earlier in the day. The district attorney's office says Bush was arrested again that same month for stealing a case of Michelob Ultra beer from a Dandy Mini Mart on Route 6 in Wysox. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
