Bougie on a budget: Affordable lobster at Slapfish
Tell me, friends — what's more bougie than lobster? Not much, right?!
It's fancy, delicious… and pricey.
Yes, but: There's a seafood spot putting lobster within reach, without having to shell out too many clams.
Yes, and: It doesn't rhyme with Bread Blobster.
Where to go: Slapfish, a seafood shack where the lobster comes in all shapes, sizes and budgets.
What to get: You can go all out with the $55 lobster boil. That'll get you a whole poached lobster, clam chowder, lobster tots, fries and slaw.
If you're bougie on a smaller budget, go for the $18 clobster grilled cheese (lobster, crab and mozzarella on sourdough) or the $9 lobster taquitos.
💭 Arika's thought bubble: I had the lobster grinder, which is chilled shredded lobster and crab with chunks of shrimp and spicy aioli overflowing from a split top butter roll. It comes with a side of fries, salad or slaw.
At $17, it was about two-thirds the price of the traditional lobster roll but seriously just as satisfying.
If you go: Slapfish has locations on Mass Ave and in Fishers and Noblesville.
