IceHogs look to keep their postseason record perfect and finish off the Milwaukee Admirals

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Rockford IceHogs are perfect in the postseason at 4-0 so far against the Wolves and the Admirals. They'll try to keep it that way Wednesday night when they host the Admirals in game three of their playoff series. The Hogs won the first two games of the best-of-five matchup in Milwaukee. If they win Wednesday night, the series will be over, and the IceHogs will move on to the Central Division Finals. The IceHogs are coming off an impressive 6-1 win in game two Saturday night. They need to keep their edge though and not let off the gas, because the Admirals are still very dangerous. Joey Anderson, who had a hat trick in that game two win, knows that well. 'It's just a process, like it's being simple with the puck. It's continuing to forecheck and be frustrating in the sense that, like these guys just don't go away. We're always on top of them. We give them no space. We've done a good job of that so far in the series, so I think tomorrow night, same thing.' IceHogs' captain Brett Seney said before the Chicago series that the IceHogs are built for the playoffs. These first four games so far reinforce that in Anderson's mind. '100%. I don't know how anyone would be in that locker room right now and not think that. Probably the most complete games we've played of the season have come in this last little stretch, and we've got guys buying in, sticking to the game plan and not trying to overcomplicate things.' For the Admirals, it's a large hill to climb. They have to win three straight games now to survive this series. Wednesday's game is a must-win for them. Admirals' defenseman Kevin Gravel says he and his teammates still believe they can capture this series. 'They still have to beat us one more time. You know, we're not out of it yet. I can't stress enough how much I still believe in this group, how confident I'm in this group. It's going to take a good effort. It's going can take our best effort, but all we've got to do is win a game on Wednesday.' Wednesday's game will begin at 7 p.m. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
