Grand Valley Gives to host Backyard Brewfest
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Grand Valley Gives, a collaboration of nearly 60 local nonprofits, is joining forces with The Ale House to hold its first Backyard Brewfest fundraiser.
Backyard Brewfest will be held Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at The Ale House, 2531 N. 12th St. Tickets to the event include live music, giveaways and endless pours from local breweries.
Joy Thompson, president of Grand Valley Gives, says all proceeds from the event will go towards putting together the organization's annual giving guide.
'The giving guide highlights all of the nonprofits that are part of the collaboration and a little bit about them. So the funds from the Brewfest event will be used to go into that pool so that we can increase awareness and do some marketing around Colorado Gives Day,' says Thompson.
