NORTH FOND DU LAC – Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is looking for public input on a project to improve public drinking water.
North Fond du Lac is an applicant for Safe Drinking Water Loan Program funding to improve its public drinking water system, a project that would include replacing lead service lines throughout the village.
The project requires an environmental review, and the program has determined it will not result in significant adverse environmental effects.
Additionally, no further environmental review or analysis is needed before proceeding with funding.

The DNR is encouraging public comment on the decision and potential environmental impacts of the project, accepting input by March 4.

Based on any comments the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program receives, the program may prepare an environmental analysis that would summarize the DNR's consideration of the project's impacts and any reasonable alternatives.
