Tonys 2025: Best prediction scores by Gold Derby experts, editors, and users
Congratulations to Gold Derby user Brian Tavarus for an exceptional score of 88.46 percent in predicting the 2025 Tonys winners on Sunday. Our top scorer is actually tied with six other people for the overall lead but has the better point score of 13,468 points by using the two Super Bets (500 points each) wisely.
More than 1,100 people worldwide predicted these Broadway champs with our top scorer correctly predicting 23 of 26 categories accurately. Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo hosted the ceremony in New York City. The top scorer only missed three categories: Best Actor in a Musical (choosing Jonathan Groff over Darren Criss), Best Play (choosing Oh, Mary! over Purpose), and Best Sound Design of a Musical (choosing Sunset Boulevard over Buena Vista Social Club).
