Bridgestone India opens new Select store in Tirupati, strengthens retail network in Andhra Pradesh
Bridgestone India , a subsidiary of the Bridgestone Group, has opened a new Bridgestone Select Store – Raj Tyres – in Tirupati , Andhra Pradesh. The store is located on Renigunta Road, opposite Auto Nagar, and was inaugurated by Rajiv Sharma, Director – Integrated Consumer Business, Bridgestone India. The new outlet is part of the company's ongoing efforts to expand its retail presence across the country and deliver a more structured tyre buying and servicing experience. Bridgestone's Select Stores are positioned as full-service retail touchpoints offering tyre and allied services. 'At Bridgestone India, we are committed to redefining the tyre buying experience through our Select stores,' Sharma said. 'These retail touchpoints are designed not only to offer top-quality products but also to build trust through transparency, innovation, and a customer-first approach.' Bridgestone India currently holds around 20 per cent market share in the Indian passenger car aftermarket and is focused on increasing its presence by developing service-oriented retail spaces. The company said the Tirupati store adds to its pan-India network and forms part of its broader strategy to increase accessibility and convenience for vehicle owners.

Bridgestone expands Hyderabad network with premium Select outlets
Bridgestone India has expanded its flagship Select store network by inaugurating four new outlets in Hyderabad. The company now has 46 stores in the tyre manufacturer currently has a network of 3,200 dealers, including 820 Bridgestone Select outlets, in India. The Select stores are located across key cities like New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Kolhapur, Chennai, and Indian tyre market is estimated to be around 4,40,00,000 units in volume annually, with 2,00,00,000 units in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) segment and 2,40,00,000 units in the aftermarket Bridgestone claims a 20% share in the aftermarket segment. In the OEM segment, the company works with all the major carmakers, like Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Honda Cars the company's top tyre brands are Turanza 6i, an EV-ready premium tyre, and Dueler A/T for SUV enthusiasts."Hyderabad is an important market for us, and we are proud to expand this pioneering concept of Select stores in the city. At Bridgestone, we have consistently led in enhancing customer experience, and these stores will help customers in Hyderabad to make informed tyre choices tailored to their needs," said Hiroshi Yoshizane, Managing Director, Bridgestone Indian operations in 1996, Bridgestone has a manufacturing facility each in Indore and Pune. It cumulatively produces over 30,000 tyres a day, with 19,500 tyres at the Indore plant and 11,000 tyres at the Pune 2024, the company announced an investment of USD 85 million to expand its capacity. While preparations for the capacity expansion will start this year, production will commence in 2028. The move will enhance the Pune plant's capacity by 3,000 tyres a day by to Auto Today Magazine
