Vote Now: ‘Overtime' Athlete of the Week: Feb. 24-March 2
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — It's time to vote once again for our 'Overtime' High School basketball Athlete of the Week. We have a new group of four finalists based on their performances during the week of Monday, February 24 through Sunday, March can vote now through Friday at noon. You can nominate candidates for future Athlete of the Week contests by sending an email to sports@ are the finalists for this week:1) Parker Krogman-EastlandKrogman scored 22 points (13 in the second half) Friday night leading the Cougars to a 55-44 regional championship game win over Sterling Newman. It was Eastland's 30th win of the season.2) Brody Black-PecatonicaBlack scored 30 points Friday night in Pecatonica's regional championship game win against East Dubuque. That was Pecatonica's 32nd win of the season.3) Danielle Johnson-LutheranIn two sectional tournament games against Galena and Pecatonica, Danielle totaled 32 points and 26 rebounds.4) Brody Larson-WinnebagoBrody scored 27 points including 5 three-pointers in Bago's regional win against Stillman Valley. He was also instrumental in Bago's following regional wins against Johnsburg and Rockford Christian lifting Bago into the 2A Marengo Sectional.
