Great Midwestivus celebrates fishing in this weekend
Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) – The 'Great Midwestivus' — which celebrates fishing, rivers, lakes and creeks in Ohio — is finishing up this weekend. There will be activities held on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14, throughout the greater Springfield area. The main events are listed below. Bass u Brunch, Springfield Museum of Art. Pay-what-you-can. (A suggested donation of $20.) There will be breakfast food, seminars and fellowship. Register here. 10 a.m. – Food will be served. 10:45 a.m. – Outside seminar on Buck Creek by Rus Snyders. 11:30 a.m. – Outside seminar on Buck Creek by Drew Gregory. Tournament Day 1, afternoon sesh. Launch at 2:30 p.m. Lines in at 3 p.m. Lines out at 8 p.m. (On eligible waters.) Fish photo deadline at 9:30 p.m. Weekend events around Dayton: June 13 to 15 Tournament Day 2. Launch at 5:45 a.m. Lines in at 6 a.m. Lines out at 3 p.m. (On eligible waters.) Brookville Block Party: Artisans, music and fun coming soon
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The annual Brookville Block Party will feature local artisans, live music, carnival games, face painting and more this Saturday, June 14. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be held at the Brookville Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, on Blue Pride Drive. It will feature over 70 local craft and food vendors. Brookville holding city-wide garage sale throughout June Here is the event schedule: 10 a.m. to noon, the Caitlin Davis Band will perform. 11 a.m. to noon, face painting Noon to 2 p.m., The Mountain Dulcimers performance. 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., classical guitar with Ian Stukenborg. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., carnival games designed by the library.
