Women's History Month flag raising in Binghamton
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Women leaders in our community came together outside of Binghamton City Hall to raise a flag in honor of Women's History Month.
Mayor Kraham was joined by members of the Broome County Status of Women Council, local politicians, and students from Union Endicott High School's Amnesty International Club, to raise a flag high above city hall.
The remarks reiterate women's role in building our local community, and our country.
The Status of Women's Council is hosting its annual Women of Achievement luncheon on Saturday as a way to recognize the women change makers in our community.
