Fisher-Price Recalls More Than 250,000 Toys Over Major Safety Hazard

Popular children's toy brand Fisher-Price has issued a recall. The item in question is an infant stroller toy called 'Brunch & Go Stroller Toys,' which features a plush piece of toast with avocado slices on it, along with a dangling mirror tomato, egg teether and crinkly piece of bacon. 🍳 🍳 The brand warns that the toy that attaches to strollers and car seats can pose a choking risk. 'The yolk of the toy egg can crack and create small parts, posing a choking hazard to young children,' the warning on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website states. There have been a total of five reports of the egg cracking and breaking into pieces. Of those, two reports noted the infant had a little piece in their mouth. No injuries have been reported yet. About 253,000 units were sold in the U.S. along with an additional 4,500 in Canada. The CPSC informs that consumers should 'immediately stop using' the recalled items and 'keep them away from children.' Fisher-Price will send out a free replacement stroller toy to those affected with consumers being asked to 'permanently mark the egg component of the stroller toy with the word 'Recall' and the unique identifier.' There have been five reports of the egg yolk breaking into smaller pieces, creating a choking hazard. In two of those reports, a baby had a piece in their mouth, but no injuries have been reported to date, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Buyers are told to keep the recalled toys away from children and contact Fisher-Price for a free replacement.
