Corrections: April 5, 2025
A picture caption with an article on Monday about Bryan Bailey, a sheriff in Mississippi who is accused of benefiting from inmate labor, misidentified the location where several men were building a deck. It was the home of Christian Dedmon, a former deputy sheriff, not the home of Mr. Bailey.
An article last Sunday about the falling college enrollment levels of Black men, relying on information from a Howard University official, misstated the percentage of Howard students who are men. The figure in the 2023-2024 academic year was 30 percent, not 25 percent.
Errors are corrected during the press run whenever possible, so some errors noted here may not have appeared in all editions.
