A day in the life of a Trumbull County social worker
WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — National Social Work Month may be over, but the vital work these people do continues all year long.
Take Trumbull County Children Services case worker Bryan Bartlett, for example. Bartlett is one of the agency's intake workers. They're considered the front doors to the agency and are the case workers who initially look into reports of abuse and neglect.
Bartlett says the most rewarding part of his job is keeping children safe and in their homes.
'We want to keep your children in your home and with you and raise a happy family. We're not here to take your children,' Bartlett said. 'We're here to help you and make your situations stronger and your families stronger.'
Bartlett has been working at Trumbull County Children Services for 28 years. He says what he loves most about his job is helping children and families.
