Newly wed woman arrested for killing husband in Garhwa
Garhwa: A 19-year-old newly wed, Sunita Singh, was arrested for allegedly killing her 22-year-old husband Budhnath Singh on Monday by spiking his food with pesticide after two failed attempts in Garhwa district, police said on Tuesday.

The incident happened at the home of the deceased in Bahokudar village under the Ranka police station limits.
The incident was reported days after the news of another newly wed woman, Sonam, killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi with the help of her associates in Meghalaya rocked the nation.
Sunita, a resident of Balrampur in neighbouring Chhattisgarh was married to Budhnath on May 11 this year. Rajmati Kunwar, the mother of the deceased, has filed a complaint with the police, alleging that her daughter-in-law poisoned her son to death.
She also said Sunita did not like Budhnath. According to the police, the accused had tried to poison her husband's food twice before but he did not consume them. However, on Sunday, she cooked chicken and laced it with pesticide.
As Budhnath loved chicken, he couldn't resist it. The following morning on Monday, he was found dead, police said.
Ranka police station officer in charge Chetan Kumar Singh said, "We have sent the body to Garhwa sadar hospital for post-mortem."
DSP (Ranka) Rohit Ranjan Singh added, "Our initial investigations suggest that the wife is the accused as she had already made plans many times earlier to kill her husband. She has been sent to judicial custody."
In the Meghalaya honeymoon murder, Raja, an Indore-based businessman, was hacked to death on May 23, the day he went missing after he and his wife Sonam, went to East Khashi Hills in Meghalaya for honeymoon. They got married on May 11 went for honeymoon May 20.
Raja's body was discovered on June 2 in a deep gorge near Weisawdong Falls in Sohra (also known as Cherrapunjee). Sonam, her alleged boyfriend Raj and three hitmen have been arrested.
