What Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's Kids Think of Their Parenting

Gwyneth Paltrow's kids are Shakespeares in love with her approach to parenting.
The Goop founder recently detailed the 'funny' appreciation her and her ex-husband Chris Martin's children Apple Martin, 20, and Moses Martin, 19, have for the ground-breaking and health-conscious upbringing they experienced while growing up.
'They are very proud of the iconoclastic approach that we have taken in the past,' Gwyneth exclusively told E! News in an interview airing tonight, May 12, at 11 p.m. 'Looking back, there are always things that we used to write about [at Goop] where people were like, 'Oh my gosh, what is this?' And now they're so mainstream.'
The 52-year-old—who has partnered with Genesis House in New York City to launch the immersive nature experience 'The Forest Within'—added, 'My kids are really proud of the fact that we're always kind of first in this space.'
As part of her innovative parenting style with the Coldplay frontman, Gwyneth—who is also stepmom to husband Brad Falchuk's kids Isabella, 19, and Brody, 18—made sure to find a middle ground between overly strict rules and too much freedom.

'We try to always strike a balance,' she continued. 'For me, manners are super important. So, that was kind of the structure: manners and education. I want a lot of expression and individuality and freedom running through that structure. So, that's kind of how we looked at it.'
And as a result of their experiences as kids, the Oscar winner thinks that Apple and Moses are likely to follow in her and Chris' footsteps and pursue careers in entertainment.
'They are definitely artist souls,' she shared. 'I do think that [a] mix of structure and art is really coming through in who they are now. They're both academic, and yet they have these beautiful free spirits and I think they will pursue art, which I think is wonderful.'
