Nebraska quarterback commit to play in Polynesian Bowl
Nebraska football quarterback commit Dayton Raiola was selected for the 2026 Polynesian Bowl on Wednesday. The announcement was made on social media.
Raiola officially committed to the Huskers on September 22, and is currently part of a 2026 class that has three commitments.
Raiola had a strong season for Buford High School in 2024. He went 115-of-203 through the air from 1,953 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three interceptions. He was able to put together a solid junior season, with one more year of development left to go. He averaged 139.5 passing yards per game, according to statistics from MaxPreps,
The legacy commit will now be showcased in one of the best all-star games on the circuit. This selection can certainly set the stage for a solid senior season.
The future is very bright for the younger Raiola, as he has seen his stock rise over the past year. He is certainly making a strong case for being the next future star at the quarterback position for the Huskers.
