Charity Meets Hypercar: $5 Koenigsegg Rides
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector In a charitable stunt that blended horsepower with heart, a supercar enthusiast turned heads by offering $5 rides in his Koenigsegg Regera—leaving passengers speechless and raising money for a good cause. The event, hosted by The Hamilton Collection, gave everyday car fans the chance of a lifetime: a seat in one of the fastest hypercars on earth. Though advertised with tongue-in-cheek claims of 5,000 horsepower, the Koenigsegg Regera's real stats were plenty shocking on their own—boasting a hybrid-assisted twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 that delivers over 1,500 HP and near-instant torque. The result? Instant disbelief. 'I didn't expect that kind of acceleration,' said one passenger, visibly stunned after a short, high-speed run. 'It pins you back like a rollercoaster.' The Regera wasn't the only heavyweight in the lineup. For just $5, attendees could choose from a trio of multimillion-dollar machines: a Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution, a Bugatti Chiron, or the Koenigsegg itself. Dubbed a 'supercar holy trinity,' the garage offered a thrill unmatched even in most auto showrooms. While the rides alone were enough to draw crowds, the purpose behind the day was even more impressive. All proceeds went to local charities, turning tire smoke and revs into real-world impact. 'The goal is to give back while giving people an experience they'll never forget,' said the owner, who documented the event on social media. In a world where supercars often seem out of reach, this high-octane fundraiser proved that sometimes, all it takes is $5—and the ride of a lifetime. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter

Post Malone's $3.5M All-White Bugatti Chiron Turned Heads—Then He Sold It
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector Grammy-winning artist and noted car enthusiast Post Malone once made headlines not for a chart-topping single, but for his high-octane taste in supercars. The rapper reportedly spent $3.5 million on a custom Bugatti Chiron, finished in his signature all-white color scheme, complete with more than $150,000 in personalized upgrades—only to sell the car shortly after. Originally unveiled at the 2019 Montreal International Auto Show, Malone's Chiron reflected both his automotive passion and minimalist aesthetic. The musician, whose real name is Austin Post, added a list of high-end options to the already eye-popping hypercar. Among the most notable were $64,000 Caractère wheels and $38,200 worth of silver mesh for the front grille and rear detailing. Other enhancements included $32,000 comfort seats, a $10,900 aluminum center console inlay, and $6,400 black brake calipers. Despite its lavish customization and rarity, Malone sold the Chiron a few years after taking delivery. The car's resale reportedly became the subject of legal contention when a Nevada man alleged a dealer breached a sales contract after agreeing to a $3.5 million transaction. Malone's Chiron was a standout even among Bugatti's elite lineup, powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine capable of 1,479 horsepower and a top speed of over 260 mph. However, it's just one example of the rapper's affinity for powerful and luxurious vehicles. His garage has also featured a Ford GT—also in white—purchased in 2021, a Lamborghini Urus from 2019, a white Aventador, and a Ford F-150 Super Snake. The unifying theme? All-white exteriors that reflect Malone's personal brand and flair. Though the Chiron is gone, Post Malone's passion for high-performance machines remains parked firmly in the fast lane. Controversy Explained: Post Malone's Bugatti Chiron
Read the full story on Backfire News Professional musician Post Malone is known for being quite the gearhead with an impressive car collection, but his Bugatti Chiron is particularly infamous. Called 'Angel' for its all-white, angelic appearance, the French hypercar was at the center of a legal battle that grew fierce before it was finally Post Malone bought the Bugatti from OB Prestige Auto, a boutique dealer located in Quebec, Canada, back in 2019. At the time, the celebrity seemed overjoyed at the prospect of owning the hypercar with its unique spec. The all-white exterior with silver accents, Caractere wheels, and black calipers is striking. But the white interior with comfort seats and aluminum inlay for the center console really sends people over the top. There is no other Chiron quite like it. That's probably why when DuPont Registry had the privilege of listing it for sale in 2022 many well-heeled parties were immediately interested in buying it. The fact a celebrity owned the Bugatti only sweetened the deal. A man in Nevada got on the DuPont registry on March 3 and filled out an inquiry form for the Chiron. That man claims he heard from an auto broker the same day, with a verbal agreement to purchase the vehicle for $3.5 million. However, before the broker emailed a contract, another interested party in Maryland allegedly sent a signed contract back, offering even more for Post Malone's Bugatti. The broker called the Nevada buyer back and informed him of the development. But the Nevada man claims the broker was concerned the other party couldn't finalize the purchase. That's when the guy in Nevada offered to wire the $3.5 million in cash over by the next day, reports KUTV. In the meantime, the broker sent the sales contract over, which stipulated if the sale wasn't completed by the next day, the party in Nevada had first right of refusal. There isn't anything too unusual about that. But the next day, after the Maryland buyer failed to close the deal, the guy in Nevada and the auto broker got into a disagreement on the phone. Allegedly, the broker hung up and ghosted the other man. That triggered a five-figure lawsuit, which apparently was settled because the Nevada man was later captured on camera in 2023 sitting in the Bugatti, with a protective cover over the driver's seat, of course. Austrian Police Seize $3.2 Million Bugatti Chiron for Speeding on Vienna's Ringstrasse
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector A Bugatti Chiron worth more than €3 million (approximately $3.2 million) has been seized by Austrian authorities after the driver was caught speeding at more than double the legal limit through the heart of Vienna. Local media outlet Heute reported that a 38-year-old Austrian man was behind the wheel of the multimillion-dollar hypercar when he was clocked at 119 km/h (approximately 76 mph) in a 50 km/h (31 mph) zone on Vienna's Ringstrasse, a prominent boulevard that loops around the city's historic district. The high-speed infraction occurred near the Austrian Parliament building and was captured by a roadside speed trap. Vienna police acted swiftly, impounding the vehicle on the spot and immediately revoking the driver's license. Under Austria's newly strengthened traffic laws targeting dangerous driving, authorities can confiscate vehicles in severe speeding cases, especially when speeds exceed limits by more than 60 km/h in urban areas. In this case, the Chiron was traveling nearly 2.5 times faster than permitted, making it a textbook candidate for impoundment. What happens next remains uncertain. Austrian law does allow for the forfeiture and auctioning of vehicles used in extreme traffic violations. If sold by the state, the Bugatti Chiron—capable of reaching speeds over 260 mph—could fetch millions on the open market. The incident highlights a growing trend in European cities where luxury and hypercars are under increased scrutiny for reckless driving and noise violations. It also serves as a stark reminder that even the world's fastest cars aren't immune to traffic enforcement. Vienna police have not yet announced whether criminal charges will follow or if the vehicle will be returned to the owner. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter

Bespoke Bugatti Cupholder Is Both Ridiculous And Wonderful
Read the full story on Backfire News The Bugatti Chiron is designed for extreme speed and of course being noticed, but not so much for practicality. That's a hard lesson one owner, Shannon Ralston, learned the hard way when she spilled an entire can of Red Bull in the door pocket of her voiced her frustration with the lack of a cupholder on Instagram. Bugatti Director of Design Frank Heyl replied to her post pleading for a solution almost immediately, saying he and his team was up for the 'challenge' of addressing the problem. Just days later, Heyl took to his own Instagram account to show off the cupholder solution his team churned out. Ironically, the sleeve they designed goes into the very door pocket where Ralston spilled her energy drink. A lack of cupholders, or having pathetically small and dinky ones, has been a problem with European cars for some time. While some brands have caught on to the needs of mostly American consumers in this area, thanks in no small part to American employees effectively communicating why that need exists, certain brands like Bugatti are still playing catchup. In this case, the bespoke cupholder Heyl shows off fits perfectly in the driver's door pocket. It features two slots for two different sizes of drinks, which honestly is a pretty smart feature to include. That said, it doesn't look like it would accommodate a Big Gulp, but we don't think many Chiron drivers, including Ralston, are guzzling soda. Instead, the larger slot would accommodate a decently sized water bottle, while the smaller one is perfect for a slim can of Red Bull. Heyl and his team went so far as the make the bespoke cupholder match the color scheme of Ralston's Chiron, printing her name on it for further personalization. It's a nice touch which highlights how boutique automakers like Bugatti take care of their customers in ways mass market brands just can't and won't. Just you have to be able to afford the Chiron first. Image via
