The Micro Builders Association's BuildTrust quality assessment sets standards for areas such as floors, walls and electrical fittings. Contractors can get their projects independently assessed against the scheme and receive a report as proof of quality. The industry association said up to 40% of its members have got themselves into sticky situations with home owners over the past three years.
