The mother of missing teenager Phoebe Bishop has hit back at vile social media comments, following an appeal to the public alongside police to help find her daughter. Kylie Johnson appeared in a video appeal urging anyone who had seen a grey Hyundai ix35 - which her daughter Pheobe was reportedly travelling in before she disappeared - to contact police. But after vile comments began appearing on the video, Ms Johnson took matters into her own hands. In a post on her Facebook account, she hit back at the trolls who were attacking her tone and demeanour. 'I'm sorry that I'm currently an emotional wreck, trying to protect our other children from the media and the trolls, trying to continue to breathe while your world shatters around you!,' she posted on Saturday. Ms Johnson's daughter, 17-year-old Phoebe Bishop, has been missing since May 15, when the teenager failed to board a flight at Bundaberg Airport. After searching bushland in the regional Queensland city, police put out a video statement read by Ms Johnson over the weekend, where the mother pleads for information. After the police statement was published online, commenters began to criticise the way Ms Johnson spoke and her demeanour. 'People wanted a statement, they got one yet still question me as a mother?,' Ms Johnson posted afterwards. 'If anyone would like to be in this position please step in and show me how to do this? Show me what a perfect parent looks like' she said, defending herself. 'Show me how to navigate this? Show me how to deal with the unknown and the uncertainty? Show me how to use perfect language and emotion in a situation that no parent ever wants to be in.' Ms Johnson has posted daily about the search for Phoebe, and acknowledges she has left her social media accounts open to the public to maintain awareness of her missing daughter, despite rife and derogatory comments from members of the public. 'My posts aren't public to defend myself or react to negative comments. In fact negative comments also draw conversations and that's what we as a family need to bring Phee home,' she posted last week. 'Hell I will take any conversation if it has my baby walking down our driveway or calling any of us. 'So please don't be mad at the trolls. They have a role to play just like the amazing people who honestly just want our Phoebe home.' Phoebe was last seen on May 15, travelling toward Bundaberg Airport. Her housemates told police they drove Phoebe to the airport in a grey Hyundai ix35 for her 8.30am flight. But Phoebe did not enter the airport. Police have searched their house and charged the flatmates with unrelated weapon possession charges.

The mother of missing 17-year-old girl Phoebe Bishop has blasted numerous social media trolls, after her joint statement with Queensland Police was ruthlessly mocked by users. Kylie Johnson partnered with Queensland Police on Saturday to release an announcement pleading anyone who had spotted the grey Hyundai ix35 her daughter was last seen in to contact authorities. "Our lives have been changed for the worst after the sudden disappearance of my daughter who was last seen on May 15," she said in the clip. The 17-year-old was last seen alive near Bundaberg Airport about 8.30am on May 15, when she was set to board a flight to see her boyfriend in Western Australia. However, she never made it on the plane, which was bound for Brisbane, with CCTV from inside the terminal showing the teen had failed to even make it inside the airport. Police and State Emergency Services (SES) spent five days searching nearby Good Night Scrub National Park, about 40 minutes from her home in the town of Gin Gin, yet the search was abandoned on Wednesday. Kylie Johnson's visual statement received widespread criticism from a number of Facebook commenters, with many stating her plea seemed insincere and ungenuine. Ms Johnson then reposted her video appeal on her personal Facebook account with a lengthy message rebuking those who had made offensive remarks, whilst defending her emotional demeanor. 'People wanted a statement, they got one yet still question me as a mother,' her post read. 'I'm sorry that I'm currently an emotional wreck, trying to protect our other children from the media and the trolls, trying to continue to breathe while your world shatters around you! The distressed mother also reiterated that her daughter's disappearance was extremely out of character, and asked people who had made disparaging comments to advise her how to better handle the challenging situation. 'If anyone would like to be in this position please step in and show me how to do this. 'Show me what a perfect parent looks like? Show me how to navigate this? Show me how to deal with the unknown and the uncertainty? Show me how to use perfect language and emotion in a situation that NO parent ever wants to be in?" Ms Johnson also used the post to beg anyone with information to immediately come forward and stated that her daughter would have detested the media spotlight the event had generated. The post by and large received an outcry of public support, with many users praising Ms Johnson for her resilience and tenacity although some commenters scrutinised her statement and even picked apart her body language and facial expressions. Some went as far as to question her use of past tense in the message. However, the vast majority of commenters praised Ms Johnson for her courage and offered messages of encouragement and reassurance, with Nadia Elise saying: 'I think you are holding everything together as best you can lovely. Everyone who knows you, doesn't doubt you". The search of the national park had involved SES volunteers, drones, a rescue helicopter and cadaver dogs, which are trained to find human remains. Photographs from the scene showed police taking away brown bags from items collected in the bushland that would likely go under forensic examination. Police suspect evidence may have been removed before they arrived. Despite the search of the national park being suspended, police stressed the investigation was ongoing and they had "other areas" of interest. In a statement to on Saturday, a Queensland Police spokesman said, "the greater Gin Gin area remains the focus of the investigation". She was last seen leaving her home in Gin Gin, Queensland, on May 15, to head to the airport but she mysteriously never made it onto her flight. She had been due to board a flight to Brisbane and then continue on to Peth, where she planned to meet her boyfriend. Pheobe had been living with a couple - Tanika Bromley and James Wood - at the time of her disappearance. Shocking new claims about the teen have since been revealed. Police said Pheobe was due to board an 8.30am flight on the day she was last seen, and have suggested the couple she lived with drove her to Bundaberg Airport - but it is not known if she was dropped off. It is also not clear why the teen was living with the pair. They were questioned by police and charged with unrelated weapons offences. Police have not charged any people in relation to Pheobe's disappearance and it is not suggested the couple were involved. Cops have sealed off their house, where the teen had spent recent weeks, as forensic investigators search through the property. Several worrying developments in the 17-year-old's missing persons case have emerged as this search enters its 15th day... Worrying last phone call Pheobe's heartbroken boyfriend, who was meant to meet the teen at Perth Airport, shared the concerning final call he heard from his girlfriend before she vanished. He said Pheobe rang him while she was being driven to the airport on the morning of May 15. Her high school sweetheart said he was unable to hear anything on the other end before the call cut off. Despite this, he didn't think anything of it and went to Perth Airport to wait at the terminal for her but she did not arrive. Queensland Police are reportedly "quite confident" Pheobe didn't make it to Bundaberg Airport because she did not check-in to her flight. Key CCTV footage A car, similar to that Pheobe was driven in before she vanished, was caught on CCTV after she was meant to be on her flight. A grey Hyundai ix35 was spotted driving through Gin Gin at 10.30am the day she was last seen. Cops have since seized a grey Hyundai ix35, owned by Wood, and have declared it a crime scene. The couple told detectives they gave Pheobe a lift to the airport that morning. Shock weapons twist Police discovered weapons inside Bromley's SUV. Detectives said these gun offences were "unrelated" but they have not completely ruled out possible links with the disappearance. Bromley had already been on bail for other weapons offences after a sawed-off shotgun and flick knife were found in her car, back in February. Police confirmed Wood was charged with an unrelated weapon offence on Sunday. Police said: "Police have charged a man with weapons offences, after police allegedly located a shortened firearm and ammunition during a search of a grey Hyundai ix35 and a Gin Gin home, both of which had been declared crime scenes for an unrelated matter." Worrying messages Pheobe sent to friend Pheobe told a friend days before she vanished that she had "been better" in concerning messages. The 17-year-old also told the pal, who was checking in, about her plans to go to Perth. The teen wrote: "I've been better but I focus on the good s***. I take of (sic) to WA in three days! Get out of this s**t home for a bit so that will be good, just packing atm." When asked how long she would be away for, Pheobe wrote: "10 days beautiful x" Concerning family comments Although it was not exactly clear why the teen has been living with the couple, social media posts she made before her disappearance suggested Pheobe has fallen out with her mum. Despite this, mum Kylie Johnson released a statement after her disappearance and said this was out of character for her daughter. She said: "Pheobe would never not touch base with the people she loves. She would never go this long without contacting someone or anyone." Kylie's sister, and Pheobe's aunt, Caz Johnson, however hit out at the mum and claimed the 17-year-old sent messages out of the blue on April 26. The messages from Pheobe said: "Up s*** creek but s*** happens." She added: "I'm flying the f*** out of here to see my it goes to plan I'm not coming back. I can't do s*** anymore. I need to get out of this hell hole."

‘He's here': Moment irate local confronts housemate of missing teen Pheobe Bishop as he sleeps in car with dog
One of the housemates of missing teenager Pheobe Bishop has been confronted by an angry local in his car in regional Queensland. Pheobe Bishop, 17, was living with two housemates at a property in Gin Gin, southwest of Bundaberg, when she was last seen on May 15. The teenager intended to fly from Bundaberg to Brisbane before catching another flight to Perth to see her boyfriend, but she failed to board her flight. Her flatmates, Tanika Bromley and her partner James Wood, told detectives they drove Pheobe to Bundaberg Airport in a grey Hyundai ix35 for her 8.30am flight; however, police believe the teenager never reached the airport as she failed to check-in. Ms Bromley and Mr Wood have since been charged with unrelated offences after the Hyundai was seized by police and their house was declared a crime scene. During the search of the Hyundai, police allegedly uncovered a stash of weapons, including a shortened firearm, two replica handguns and ammunition. Ms Bromley now faces charges including possessing or acquiring restricted items, unlawful possession of weapons, and two counts of failing to hold the required authority to possess explosives. Mr Wood, 34, was also charged with one count each of unlawful possession of weapons and unauthorised possession of explosives, and was issued with a notice to appear a Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 13. Authorities have confirmed there is no indication the weapons charges are linked to the missing person case. No-one has been charged in connection to the teenager's disappearance. On Thursday afternoon, Wood was spotted sleeping in his car in a carpark while his house remains a declared crime scene. Footage posted to social media captures the irate local, outside the car, shouting at him while using an umbrella to prod him awake through the driver's window. 'He's here, he's hiding here,' she is heard shouting in the footage. 'I think there's a dead dog in the car.' The 34-year-old, who has dyed his hair and beard blonde, is sleeping inside the car, with an alive dog in the back seat. The 35-year-old has been seen in his car in other areas of Bundaberg, including a Hungry Jack's drive-through and car park with his dog, while his home is forensically examined. The teenager's flatmate was last seen on Wednesday at Bundaberg Magistrates Court in support of his partner Ms Bromley, who made an appearance at court as part of her bail conditions.
