Huge ITV reality TV star ditches fame for very normal career – and admits she's ‘failed more times than I'd have liked'
A HUGE reality reality star has ditched fame for a very normal career. Admitting that she has failed more times than she would have liked, Popstars starlet Suzanne Shaw has gotten candid in a new video shared on Instagram. 10 10 10 10 Suzanne, 43, shot to fame on the hit ITV reality talent show in 2000 when she was thrust into new band Hear'Say. At just 18 years of age, Suzanne became a huge star and went on to have a glowing career. Appearing in musicals on the stage, and on several TV shows, Suzanne even starred and competed in Dancing On Ice in 2008. But Suzanne ended up making a massive career U-turn and ditching fame for a pretty normal career. After her foray with fame, the Bury-born beauty now works as a motivational speaker. In a recent video shared onto her Instagram account, suzanneshawofficial, which has over 7,000 followers, Suzanne got candid about failure. "I have failed so many times in my life. In business, in parenthood, in relationships," she said in the video. She went on: "Sometimes I even look back at those failures and I feel really embarrassed. "But what I do not allow it to do, is hold me back from my next set of aspirations." In the caption, Suzanne wrote: "It's time to normalise failure and to also flip the script! Everyone fails at some point in their life!!! And those who succeed most fail MORE!" "When I look back on those time I sometimes feel embarrassed or ashamed but then I quickly remind myself. Who cares!!! "At least I gave it a go or prepared to fully embrace this crazy life!" Suzanne went on: "Every time I have a whopper of a failure I always think - well this will make for a great anecdote for a speaking gig or a character in my book!" 10 10 10 Last year, Suzanne opened up about her motivational speaking career. Speaking to New! Magazine, she said: "I help people get through sobriety and help them on their wellness journey, so that's what I do now as a job." She also told the magazine that it had been four years since she last drank alcohol. "It wasn't healthy, and it wasn't something that was going to benefit my life. "I didn't have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, it just wasn't for me," she said at the time. Suzanne is a mother to two children. The former pop star turned motivational speaker welcomed her first child, Corey MacKenzie Shaw-Day in December 2004 with Darren Day. Her second child was born in 2015 with fiancé Sam Greenfield. In December 2015, the couple welcomed a boy named Rafferty.

The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village has had an upgrade, with a new outdoor pool and 'ice room'. Guests can now enjoy a newly installed 15-seater outdoor spa pool, perfectly positioned to take in the peaceful, rural views of the Lancashire countryside. Complementing this is the introduction of a brand-new ice room offering a refreshing retreat designed to promote circulation, boost immunity, and support full-body wellness. This included a stay at The Stables accommodation on site, which includes a hot tub and a wrap-around garden. The group also enjoyed a meal at the on-site Terrazza Italian restaurant and time in the spa. 'I am going to take the kids, my mum [and other loved ones]. We are going to go back later on in the year when Gorka [Gemma's husband] is away because it was fab.' Ribby Hall Village welcomes tens of thousands of guests every year. Guests get to enjoy the site's cottage and lodge accommodation, a vast array of sports and leisure activities, restaurants, café, bars and The Spa Hotel, which opened in 2011. The site is family-owned and run. The site started in 1994 and began as 'a few caravans on a rundown site'. It is now home to hundreds of luxury holiday homes, from traditional static caravans to lodges. In 1995 the sports centre opened its doors. The Health Club boasts family and adult swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gym, a variety of fitness classes, racquet sports, and a nine-hole golf course.

Gemma Atkinson has issued a wedding update and says she 'already feels married' to fiancé Gorka Marquez. Gemma, president of Edenfield's Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, hosted a Q&A on her Instagram channel. One follower asked about her wedding plans. She said: "Possibly next year... We've been back and forth about registry offices/going to Spain.' The Bury-born actress, who played Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks, said she doesn't want a 'big white wedding'. She said: 'None of us want a big fuss or lots of guests so we may just go and do it with just family and come back and have a huge party! 'I've never wanted a big white wedding. More than happy with a lovely small one. We feel married anyway." In the Q&A, Gemma also spoke about the possibility of moving to Gorka's home country, Spain, permanently. She said: "We've actually just sent final details to an estate agent in Malaga about a property there. "Not to live full time but somewhere we can go at the drop of a hat, even for weekends, and Gorka's parents can meet us there. I really want both Mia and Thiago to know their Spanish roots and be able to travel to and from frequently.' Gemma and Gorka met during the 2017 series of Strictly Come Dancing. They have been engaged since Valentine's Day, 2021. Gemma has two children with Gorka, daughter Mia and son Thiago. The 40-year-old often speaks about Gorka on her social media account and podcast. Recently, said she gained three-and-a-half stone during pregnancy but said insecurities about her body was 'in her own mind'. She said fiancé Gorka 'couldn't get enough' of her body.
